As for the future of society: this is all just conjecture, but i assume the ruling class will just ramp up immigration as the local populace grows older and dies off. Beyond that i have no idea, as fertility rates are dropping beyond replacement on a global level. The effects this will have on less developed countries like India and African countries will only be felt after you and I and everyone else in this thread is long dead.

Effectively what will happen, in my opinion, is things getting worse within our lifetimes. So work on getting dosh while you are young so you can shield yourself from the societal fallout in a gated community or something. You dont want to be the 75 year old white guy in the immigrant ghetto.

One of my friends is the only child of a family that owns lots of land and are big basedbean producers in the area. He is tall, well-spoken, a very gentle Catholic guy and very handy. Basically the platonic ideal of a good rural man, can fix anything from a lawnmower to a combine harvester. But he has essentially been given golden handcuffs. All the young women from our village left to the big city as soon as they turned 18. None so far have returned.
