How did imagine the future would look when you were 10 to 15?
>>85835324I genuinely thought it was going to be cyberpunk Gundam. Remember that stupid staged "mech" fight that happened like a decade ago? I thought that was going to somehow lead to giant infantry warbots you can enlist to pilot, but we went down the drone tech tree
well at age 11-12 i was really into vietnam war media and this was 2005/2006 so everyone(my older brother, mom, grandpa) was pessimistic about what was coming. i dont remember having any particular ideas about the future tho
>>85835513What was it like growing up during the desert war years? Did anyone actually care or was it people being preformative
i was a tech optimist. fusion, clean recycling, environmental purification, ai, extended lifespans, gene editing etc. i bought into everything.
>>85835324That fruger aero vibe
>>85835990What made you think humans was capable of such a thing?
>>85836059overly optimistic science magazines. i believed in a myth of progress. some of those techs were kinda real, to be fair. but really i was just a dumb kid and i had no judgement.
>>85836074At least we have walking robots, flying vehicles, War AI and electric vehicles?
>>85835324I always imagined the aesthetic being something between Wii Channels and Windows Vista, I think its called what >>85836014 said
>>85836080amazing, right? i look forward to the day the police drones hovering our streets won't have to be manually set up by faulty humans and bureaucracy, but have an automated system deciding on areas to monitor. just a little bit more efficiency and i'm sure our problems will go away.
>>85836103But what if you could be on the other side of the desperate riot line anon? The side with the balconies overlooking?
>>8583532410 through 15? I probably just imagined The Jetsons. None of that happend.
