I gave up trying to be part of communities a long time ago, I'm not fit for it. I'm better off keeping at a distance and occasionally chiming in like a cryptid. Once I found the right balance I like to be engaged at, I've had a lot more stable of a personal relationship with any community, i.e. not wanting to randomly abandon them, or obsessing over every post, monitoring them non-stop, things that like. Maybe you are keeping your boundaries too far or too close like this?

>>85840592That's even harder to navigate, yeah. I think it's better to be safe than sorry in this case, though. It's easy to normalize being taken advantage of or abused, which makes it harder to get out of later. Better to nip it in the bud.
