I only show up randomly maybe 3 times a day, check for threads I like and leave immediately each time if there are none. If there is a thread I'll stick around in, I'll keep it open and check the catalog more frequently in the mean time. In general, it's rare for me to find anything interesting, I just come here out of habit. After I think at least 12 years now, and growing old over that time, I don't care what the board is like. What others do, say, or post just doesn't bother me. I extract the good and fun when I can find it and don't let the negative affect me.I like silly and/or wholesome/chill posts, usually, and there's not a ton of them here, but it's to be expected. There is something more charming about someone trying to talk sincerely (without it being solely full of hatred) or have fun on this board than on others. It's like finding a diamond in the rough. Even though I could just go to Diamond Depot and get the exact same synthetic thing for cheap, it's more special since I found it. Most of my posts are either bordering saccharine or absurdist.Usually if a thread is a twitter screenshot, I'll ignore it. It's fine if I miss out on the rare occasion that it was worth reading. I don't obsessively browse anymore. The only board I bother to check is /vt/ to read and post about my oshi.
