Does this shit actually do anything or is it just another humiliation ritual?
>>

Be sure to wear your "i voter" pin as a 35 year old so everyone knows youre a good goy who plays the gay game
>>
>>85847666
The latter

If a leader was actually going to change anything, they'd have made it so elections don't happen
>>
>>85847666
>humiliation ritual
It's not humiliating. It's more like brushing your teeth every day. If you skip brushing for a day, it's no big deal, but a lot of people brush every day anyway, just out of principle. Same with voting. If you skip it, it's no big deal, but a lot of people always do it anyway, just out of principle.

Plus I think a lot of people vote because they think it's kind of nice to be asked what their opinion is. That's basically why I do it.
>>
>>85847666
How would you feel humiliated by voting?
>>
>>85847666
>Does this shit actually do anything
It sometimes does things that change the country. All those people who voted for Trump were able to prevent Harris from being president, and that certainly was "doing something", because a Harris presidency would have been way way different than the Trump presidency. Elections do have consequences, and sometimes those consequences can be pretty big.
>>
>>85847666
It's less of a humiliation ritual and more of a babysitting situation. It's like when you were little and your parents let you "drive" the car by giving you a fake steering wheel in the back seat or letting you sit on their lap and "control" the actual steering wheel while they actually controlled it with their knees. If the Establishment agrees with the popular vote, the popular vote "wins" but only because that victory was approved. If the people vote for a candidate that the Establishment doesn't want in charge, that's when all the Technicalities (TM) start to kick in and the result happens to end up different from what people voted for directly.
This isn't even conspiracy theory btw; this is precisely what the Electoral College, for example, was explicitly designed for. Its only job is to occasionally overthrow democratic elections peacefully whenever "necessary," and who decides when it's "necessary" to do so? Certainly not the People, because members of the Electoral College are not democratically elected or even fully known by the People. Members of the Electoral College can stay anonymous and usually do. So it is public knowledge that we essentially have a class of shadow people doing the real voting while what We get is more of a survey regarding who we'd prefer to see win if we had any real power, which we don't.
We saw this happen 3 times this century so far despite only being 26 years into it; first with W. Bush, then with Trump and again with Trump 2. Popular vote losses but Electorate victories.
The only reason this system hasn't been done away with is because (1) people are stupid and easy to convince that this is somehow necessary or else all Hell will break loose, and (2) the Electoral College happens to agree with the People...most of the time. So we stay tame and get only a little dazzled when there's departure.
>>
>>85847866
>inb4 "but muh tyranny of the majority!!!"
Doesn't really apply to situations where we are all voting for something that affects the entirety of the country unanimously. Common misconception. Tyranny of the majority would be if, all the states decided Mississippi had to do their laundry or whatever. In the case of electing a president who leads the federal government for all equally, what's best for the majority of the country is what's best for the country. The Electoral College is tyranny of the minority if anything.
>inb4 "but we're not a democracy!!! we're a [insert buzzword that essentially just means "democracy" in fancier wording]
A democratic republic is a democracy. A republic is literally just any form of government not helmed by singular source of authoritative power such as a dictator, king, emperor or monarch but instead by elected representatives. A constitutional republic is the same thing, just one that is founded on a constitution. This is a stupid non-rebuttal used by people who don't know what the fuck they're talking about.

go back all elections in your lifetime. remove one vote from any side that you like. did it change anything? if you look at probabilities, you have higher chance of dying on the way to voting booth than vote having any effect on outcome

think what'd actually happen if it gets that close, it'd be either re-run or random dudes in robes will decide who won

also the act of walking and lining up going to voting booth to give someone else power, is itself a pretty cucked thing to do for most men - at least for most people browsing here

you're not gonna get that anyway
you're getting child rapists bombing civilians in the name of israel while the distance between the elite and the workers keep increasing in your decaying police state regardless of what you vote for

If it was a WWE storyline then wouldn't Character A oppose Character B on every single issue no matter what, to make the storyline more compelling? The fact that Politician A and Politician B openly and unashamedly agree on a lot of issues ought to be evidence that it isn't scripted.

list of passed legislation by democrats to improve housing and healthcare costs

Democrats have passed several major pieces of legislation aimed at lowering healthcare and housing costs, primarily utilizing their congressional majorities during the Biden-Harris administration, alongside recent landmark bipartisan packages.
The primary legislative vehicles passed by Democrats to lower these essential costs include the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the American Rescue Plan (ARP), and the comprehensive 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.

I asked AI if Obama or Trump were able to lower the price of housing or healthcare

Housing prices rose under both periods; the percentage increase was somewhat larger in 2012-2016 than in 2016-2020. Healthcare costs (premiums and national spending) also rose under both, with no sustained decline in either case. Neither president produced a clear reduction in the price of housing or healthcare. Prices for both continued climbing, consistent with longer-term trends

Median existing single-family home prices (approximate year-end/annual figures):
2012: ~$177,000
2016: ~$235,000-$236,000 (roughly +33% over the period)
2020: ~$300,000 (roughly +27-28% from 2016 levels)
absolute premiums, deductibles, and total spending continued rising under both Obama's second term and Trump's first term. Out-of-pocket costs and high-deductible plans also became more common.

A wise man assumes that most politicians are lying most of the time.
A fool assumes that all politicians are lying all of the time.

A politician who says "I care for my constituents more than I care for my sponsors" is probably lying, because the contents of his soul are a secret.
A politician who says "I will vote a certain way on a certain bill" is probably telling the truth, because the contents of their votes are a matter of public record.

Epstein had all of his political connections in new york, which has been a democratic stronghold for all our lives.
https://abcnews.com/Politics/jeffrey-epstein-donated-democrats-1990s-early-2000s/story?id=64255485
One of the biggest beneficiaries of Epstein's contributions was then-Senate hopeful Hillary Clinton, who received $20,000 from him in 1999 through her joint fundraising committee with the Democratic Party, according to Federal Election Commission filings. Bill Clinton's presidential campaign also received $1,000 from Epstein in 1992.
John Kerry, Hillary Clinton's successor as former President Barack Obama's secretary of state, also was a recipient of Epstein's donations during his time as a U.S. senator in Massachusetts in the 1990s and early 2000s.
https://nypost.com/2025/11/18/us-news/jeffrey-epstein-was-invited-to-dem-fundraising-dinner-and-to-get-to-know-hakeem-jeffries-by-firm-working-with-brooklyns-barack/
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) charged Tuesday that Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries' campaign "solicited money from Jeffrey Epstein."

The Kentucky Republican, who is leading the oversight panel's investigation into Epstein, cited a 2013 email from a political consulting firm inviting the notorious pedophile to a Democratic Party dinner and to "get to know" Jeffries.

"Democrat fundraisers invited Epstein to attend an event, or meet privately with Hakeem Jeffries as part of their 2013 effort to win a majority," Comer said on the House floor.

"So, Hakeem Jeffries' campaign solicited money from Jeffrey Epstein," he claimed. "That's what we found in the last document batch."

Checking wikipedia
Epstein visited the White House multiple times during the Clinton presidency and attended Democratic fundraisers in the 1990s. After donating $1,000 to Bill Clinton's presidential election campaign in 1991, Epstein donated $10,000 to the White House Historical Association in 1993 and, accompanied by Maxwell, attended a donors' reception hosted by President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton.

In 2002 and 2003, Clinton took multiple flights on Epstein's plane, commonly known by the nickname "Lolita Express", as part of foundation-related tours to promote global health and economic development. Flight log records later indicated Clinton's name on at least 17 legs of Epstein's flights in that timeframe. On one high-profile trip in 2002, Clinton flew aboard the Lolita Express to Africa along with actors Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker to visit HIV/AIDS project sites. Epstein was an active supporter of the Clinton Foundation, even lending the Lolita Express to Clinton's international trips.
According to a Wall Street Journal report published in July 2025, Clinton contributed a handwritten note to a birthday greeting album that Maxwell compiled for Epstein's 50th birthday in 2003. The message, written in what the WSJ described as Clinton's "distinctive scrawl", reads: "It's reassuring isn't it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends."
American politician, diplomat, lawyer, and leading member of the Democratic Party from 1989 to 1995 George J. Mitchell was friends with Epstein. A 2003 handwritten letter in Epstein's "birthday book" showed the former U.S. Senate majority leader describing his friendship with Epstein as "a blessing." Documents released in January 2026 showed a continued relationship between Mitchell and Epstein following Epstein's 2008 conviction,

Yes, that $1000 donation to the campaign and $10,000 donation to the White House Historical Association got him a ticket to the reception dinner hosted by President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton. These X Thousand dollars a plate dinners is how politicians raise money, and it's one of the times Epstein met with President Bill Clinton. Clinton flew on Epstein's plane. Bill & Hillary's Clinton foundation used Epstein's plane for Clinton Foundation work. This is relevant not because Bill Clinton was president in the 90s, but his wife was the person who ran against Donald Trump in 2016.
And it wasn't just Bill. There was George Mitchell. And the DNC.
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/24/democratic-groups-will-not-commit-to-returning-donating-epstein-funds.html
Epstein gave at least $80,000 combined to the DNC and the DSCC from the late 1990s through the early 2000s, according to Federal Election Commission records. Epstein's donations to the committees were given either directly or through Democratic joint fundraising operations, including one in part led by Hillary Clinton's U.S. Senate exploratory committee called New York Senate 2000.

Don Fowler, who was DNC co-chairman from January 1995 through January 1997, questioned why the committees should give away these donations due to the checks being written decades earlier.

"Go back and give money that he gave 20 years ago? Are you nuts? That's my answer to that," Fowler told CNBC in an interview Wednesday.

"Maybe the RNC [Republican National Committee] should return any money that anyone gave to supporters of Richard Nixon," he emailed later.

Their religion allows them to do absolutely anything as long as their victim consents. Voting is an act of consent because you chose to participate in the system. Not voting is also an act of consent because you chose to not attempt to stop them from doing the things they told you they would do :^)

Yes it does and the only people who do the whole "both sides le owned by da joos/donerclass/MIC" are perpetual teenagers who don't engage with the world in any meaningful capacity

you're projecting. the "both sides are bad" people are the ones who have lived long enough to observe for themselves the truth of it.
and the fact that you typed "da joos" lets us know exactly who you are and why you're coping and seething the way you are.

No they haven't, this is just being unhappy with your personal circumstances. Millions of children are going to die in Africa because people voted for Trump. Some kids were receiving life saving medication after being born with AIDS and now they're not. There's a tangible difference for you. You're incapable of having an adult conversation in regards to this, you didn't even rebut anything I said and just typed out a bunch of 4chan stock phrases, "projecting, coping and seething". Dumb thought terminating cliches because you're unable to engage with what I said

Why is it our responsibility to pick up the tab for Africa's meal?
Why doesn't the international community hold their governments accountable?
Why don't African voters choose leaders who provide food locally instead of relying on international aid to feed their people?

We need charity in order to rehabilitate our image. We perform so many evil actions that we need to balance them with charitable actions so we can say about ourselves "See? We're not all bad".

Take away our charity and... we're pretty much all bad.

I don't believe your Howard Zinn perspective.
That view of history that disproportionately on everything that has gone wrong or can be portrayed negatively in U.S. history, while ignoring or downplaying the country's major achievements. Zinn's hostile portrayal of the United States is equal to the anti-American propaganda published by official newspapers in the old Soviet Union.
American History is more than dead natives, slavery and MLK.

Humiliation ritual. Also Satanic in a way, makes you acquiesce to the evil. Vote for the evil, you're evil, vote against, you still participated it. Avoid voting? You're evil for not participating and can't complain. Who do you get to elect? One crime family after another, with body counts that would make the Gambinos blush. Satanists view your participation as consent or your silence as consent to do their wicked deeds. Instead of a sovereign being guilty, they put the guilt for the actions of a few onto everybody. Democracy is therefore demonic, Democracy is Demoncracy, and it has failed every single time it's been tried. This time will be no different.
>inb4 we're not a democracy, we're a republic
Distinction without a difference in this day and age
>>
Local politics matters more than national politics, national politics, there is no difference between democrats and republicans besides cultural wedge issues that dont harm capital

democrats winning the midterms will be a double edged sword, yes they will win, but the DSA will then hold the democrat party hostage and force the party even farther to the left or else they will oust hakeem jefferies, feel like this angle isnt being talked about as much but it will become very important.

Most americans hate both parties, its like a right of passage to realize both parties are fake and gay. The highest political affiliation isnt republican or democrat, its independent

not really because politicians nearly never do what they promise.

no matter who you vote for they never put the citizens first. they either cater to African/Islamic refuges or Israel.

The existence of global crises with complicated causes does not mean that we should simply surrender and accept the imposition of global crises with simple causes.

More than almost any other global crisis in recent memory, this particular global crisis was very easily avoidable for us.

Why would people spend so much money trying to influence your vote if it didn't do anything?
Saying it doesn't do anything is just an attempt to try and act like you are better than other people for no reason.
>>
>>85849125
>you made a good point but what if I make up a scenario and pretend that gas prices would've gone up anyways
>>
>>85848941
You've immediately conceded to my point that voting does matter you fucking retard hahahaha
>>
It really feels like a waste of time. I've voted a lot and its never mattered. You do it for yourself to cope. But honestly I ask myself if that cope feels better than just sitting at home and doing something else with my time. Lately I just don't even bother voting. Plus its almost certain they just rig that shit anyway. The only voting that matters is at the barrel of a gun
>>
>>85849351
Asking why we are picking up the tab is not conceding that voting is important because it decides whether or not we pick up the tab.

>>
>>85849351
He's trying to use rhetorical questions as a thought exercise to get you to understand why voting DOESN'T matter, but you're too stupid to understand it. To spell it out for you: If voting mattered, we would not be sending aid to Africa and we would not be accountable for Africa's welfare because these are not issues voters care about at all and would vote against them, and Africans would in fact choose better leaders for themselves if their votes mattered.
>>
It used to work at the local level, but now they're just as corrupt at the federal level and take backroom agreements and sign NDEs. Hell, here in Podunk USA, the town (with a population of 1200) government just quietly approved both a data center and Flock cameras. Nothing was said. The cameras just went up, and the data center broke ground with the permits mysteriously approved. 80% of the residents showed up, bitched. Lawsuit filed and won because by law it was supposed to go for a vote. Thankfully, data center is no longer being built but at the cost of a shit ton of acres bulldozed to the ground. The cameras were diwn the moment it was spotted.

>Vote in person that doesn't want to send aid to Africa
>Africa stops receiving aid

What the fuck are you talking about? That is a direct cause of voting. Or is your claim really "everything the government does doesn't cater to every single one of my concerns so voting doesn't matter".

>or is it just another humiliation ritual?
even if the parties wanted to do something, neither side wins enough to be able to pass meaningful legislation, and people think 2 or 4 years is long enough to fix things so they immediately vote them out after. the u.s is essentially just deadlocked right now which is exactly what they want.

>>

Yes they do, turns out people who don't want to send aid to Africa to save the lives of children also don't give a fuck about poor Americans and think they're were they are because they deserve it. Maybe if you voted Democrat these poor and vulnerable people would be taken care of better than they would under Republicans. You are not a smart person at all. It depends on where you are.
If you're a state that always votes Democrat for example there's no point in it.
>>
>>85849194
You have power over one vote, which does nothing. The people running for election will get power and influence if they can get a mass to vote for them. You are not a hivemind and not in position to influence a large mass to do anything. Voting is useless for you, people voting is useful for them. Vooters also sell their legitnacy of system by voting so there's a predictable path to get to and keep power, helpful for those already close to power networks and capacities needed for power or can be realistic beneficiaries.
>>
>>85847666
I voted yesterday and filled out a straight independent ticket like I always do. I was impressed that one independent had some real momentum from all the signs I've seen and he was a real conservative unlike the corpo-socialist Republicans so made sure to vote for him.

By the way, elon musk has officially outspent GEORGE SOROS to finance ken paxton's campaign in texas. Kinda like how republicans stopped caring about the epstein files as soon as daddy trump ordered them to drop the issue.
>>
I don't think voting matters in the sense that it meaningfully changes anything. I do not mean this in a tinfoil-hat conspiracy theory way. Like I am not claiming that elections are rigged, that campaigns aren't real, or that votes aren't counted.
What I mean is that I've stopped believing any single person or organization can truly control millions of people. I think the concept of "leadership" breaks down at that scale of human interaction . It makes sense in smaller communities, such as towns, but I'm not convinced it works the same way nationally.
At the national level, I believe the aggregate of people's views moves the population in a particular direction, and nothing any individual leader or organization says or does can meaningfully alter that trajectory.
Basically, I've come to see this less as politics in the conventional sense and more as something akin to a crowd crush.

I've been voting since kerry ran against bush. I don't think any candidate I've ever voted for actually has won in my state. They might have won overall but like they lost in my state and it was just the same as sitting home. You go online and some borderline personality disorder freak is like you're voting against my rights, when my vote counted for nothing. Literally nothing I did effected you other than the idea of me having a say in anything. This trash heap was basically all the people you're endorsing who have been in government for years on end. Once in a while you'll have someone else come along as if it's revolutionary and they're just preaching to your choir. Democracy shows you real fast people who say they are left, don't really want anything particularly left and will actively tell you that you shouldn't even participate if you disagree with them. It's a very DARVO thing speaking with them, they deny, attack you, reverse that they're attack you and say you're attacking them, they're the victim you're the offender. It's like I voted for a dude that wanted to legalize smoking weed and lost I got a novel about how I'm a fascist for not agreeing with them and are opressing them for existing. It's like maybe you're voting for the people that already set up your system of oppression and I had nothing to do with it, you just don't like democracy as much as you think you did?
>>
>>85847666
its bread and circuses, my parents love voting, they feel like they're doing something important.
>>
>>85847666
Hell no, voting doesn't do shit; it's completely rigged. That's why I find retarded shit like "not voting is a vote." I don't care to vote anyway. Both parties we can vote for are both evil as fuck and don't give a shit about us. If you genuinely think a politician gives a shit about you, you're the most retarded goyim ever.
