Maybe this is true for romance, but I do not think it is true for friendship. Fittingly, this is a misunderstanding of relationship dynamics. The purpose of a friendship is to have someone who can provide company. To even be present is what makes friendship worthwhile.

Nothing about ending up in the situation the pic describes can be traced to some justice system that casts down people for being bland
