I like to tell myself that this was all pre-ordained and that I was always meant to be like this, but the truth is I wasn't always this way. In high school I dated and had friends. Really good friends. They actually made me enjoy going to loud, crowded events, which I usually hate. But life happened and we drifted apart as we grew up. My social ineptitude re-emerged and I didn't make a single friend in college. Now I'm a hikineet and probably will be for life.
