I was thinking this the entire week and I came to the conclusion recently that I don't think there's ever been a place online where the discussion wasn't just surface level slop like race and sex. The only people online these days are degenerates and self-hating types that want to lash out on others. What's so bad about this also is, I feel my health slipping as there are brain zaps and other things going on that I think is because of chronic internet use from the last 20+ years of my life, but yet I still don't feel an inclination to go out and make a social life for myself. I feel "sick" and yet I'm rejecting the cure.

People as a whole, no matter the subculture you fall under seem to just be caricatures of vague ideas online. There's a saying or something I heard, the "collective conscious" or "mainstream consciousness", not sure if that's what it's referring to... but many people online seem like programmable because of their core identity.
