All symbols can be used by anyone because human creations are a legacy of humanity and do not belong to anyone. All artists only exist because of the other humans that built comfy civilization for them. Artists should just get normal living wages by their goverments, not royalities. People seething about freedom movements using symbols from a show that stands for dreams and personal freedom will never stop being funny though. It is like mongoloids are fundamentally incapable of grasping the larger context of their own works. Its just consumption slop for them, so not being culturally enriched with it is not a problem, it is not seen as lack in education ( i wonder if they even have world literature lessons at school). They do not see their own art as ART, as in something that uplifts, inspires and connects humanity. Japs simply do not deserve to have one piece.
