How come normies understand that sushi and sashimi is fine but they think raw meat in general is bad?
>>
raw, japan
>>
>>85858309
It's all about the preparation. Even with sushi you have to be careful to not get your stomach raped. That's why you need a license to make it if I'm not mistaken.
>>
>>85858309
Raw fish makes a lot of people sick too.
>>
>>85858309
Most of the sushi served in the US is cooked and not actually raw.
>>
>>85858367
no it's not, it's flash frozen
>>
>>85858376
I thought a lot of the American rolls have deep fried stuff in it and it wasnt like original Japanese sushi?
>>
>>85858394
Not most of it. America has some shitty weird substitute sushis but thats for the poors. If you eat at a good restaurant the japanese food is about as good as it is in japan.
>>
Most people have never heard of beef tartar and never had caviar. Tartar was something the ultra wealthy used to pig out on back in the day and by back in the day I mean middle ages. I've seen a few old age cookbooks. I wonder if they served tartar on the Titanic.
>>
>>85858309
Most of them are fine with steak tartare and carpaccio. It's about preparation. They believe the meat that's served raw is cleaner and of higher quality than meat that's intended to be cooked that you buy at the supermarket. Usually it's at least been flash frozen to kill off parasites and bacteria.
>>
>>85858309
This image alone has convinced me to never take any carnivore nigger seriously. Humans look stupid as fuck eating meat with their blunt rabbit teeth.
>>
>>85858553
We have cutlery for a reason. You're not supposed to rip and tear out of huge chunks like a nigger.
>>
>>85858565
>>85858553
My mom is steak boomer, the type of person who will sit and seat a steak by its self with no sides, my grandpa was like that too.
Anyway she would force me to eat steaks with the blunted most dull oldest piece of shit steak knives and it used to make me rage so hard LOL. I would crashout and just go make something else because eating the steak was cancer, there was nothing wrong with the flavor or anything, other than they were sometimes fatty cuts.
>>
>>85858309
Sushi-grade fish is required by the federal food code to be kept frozen below 4degF for at least 7 days (iirc). Only this will kill the parasites that are guarunteed to be in the meat. No other raw meat is safe to eat, in fact the food code is in some ways more lenient with raw meat than cooked meat because the customer is expected to cook it. Workers may handle raw meat with bare hands, but not ready-to-eat foods, for exanple. Do not eat raw meat unless it is specifically sushi-grade or you will get parasites and disease.
>>
>>85858309
To be fair you can't really get sick from raw salmon, at worst you'll get mild diarrhea
On the other hand you can get pretty sick from eating beef, pork, or god forbid chicken raw.

Obviously this mostly depends on where you're getting your meat from, but the risk is never zero.
>>
Raw meat is obviously healthier in general unless you're worried about freshness. To be fair though, the freshness and hygiene concerns aren't without merit depending on the industry where you live

>>85858347
Oi m8 you got a loicense for that?
>>
>>85859237
>Raw meat is obviously healthier in general
By what measure exactly?
It contains less bioavailable nutrients while being a potential (though unlikely) health hazard.
>>
>>85858309
they think there's something special about the fish used in sushi that makes it worth paying $20 for 2oz of fish and some rice and seaweed
>>
>>85858309
Normies also eat raw oysters which are legitimately dangerous. Raw lettuce too.

It's all yours, my friend
>>
>>85858309
sushi is not your just eating unprepared raw fish the way you retards think you should eat meat
>>
>>85859273
by "bioavailable" you meant protein right? You cook away a lot of the micronutrients by cooking it. You need those more than you need a high amount of protein.
>>85859210
>you can get pretty sick from eating beef, pork, or god forbid chicken raw.
How do you know? What kind of sickness?
>>85858553
He is literally posing in a certain away. Are you too stupid to realize that it's not how people would look normally? Also, why would it even matter when it's better for you to eat it raw?
>>
>>85858309
They've been brainwashed to believe there's a difference between the raw meat served in restaurants and the raw meat sold at stores. Raw meat will be full of microbes and possibly helminths when you eat it, regardless of any pointless freezing ritual. Luckily for us and every other animal (or plant) in existence, microbes and helminths don't cause disease. The only way any food can cause disease is if the food is natively toxic, or if the food has been artificially toxified. Raw muscle meat is the most nutritious, most digestible, and least toxic food item sold in supermarkets. This is true even when accounting for the fact that supermarket meats always come from sabotaged animals. Sometimes supermarkets will sell wild-caught saltwater fish from a species with no active farms or hatcheries, which is way higher quality than everything else in the store
>>
>>85858367
>>85858394
They eat plenty of cooked sushi in japan, too. There's all kinds of stuff they put in and on it, it doesn't have to be raw, and it doesn't have to be fish.
>>
>>85859773
>microbes and helminths don't cause disease
You are unbelievably retarded
>>
>>85859722
>you meant protein right? You cook away a lot of the micronutrients by cooking it.
Not really, this mostly depends on the cooking method used.
Besides, most micronutrients in meat aren't affected by heat(unlike with plants) and in some cases the bioavailability of micronutrients increases.

>How do you know? What kind of sickness?
Nigga don't ask what a quick google search will tell you.

Listeria
Shiga toxin-producing E. coli
E. coli (O157:H7 and others)
Trichinella
Salmonella
Hepatitis E
tapeworms
...
>>
>>85859966
You are the definition of a slave, believing everything you are told by other people.
There is no evidence those bacteria even exist
>>
>>85858309
How come normies think sushi means raw fish when it has nothing to do with meat at all
>>
>>85860402
but fox news and the kennedy who sounds like he survived an assassination is totally valid to listen to? fuck off and i mean that, fuck OFF all the way
>>
>>85860411
It usually contains raw fish
>>85860418
idk about fox news and kennedy. It's just the natural human diet to eat raw meat
>>
>>85860418
Salmonella, etc. were never proven to cause illness.
>>
>>85860583
>Source:trust me bro
I literally know like 4 people who have had salmonella infection.
What are you even talking about?
>>
>>85858553
Good. I'm glad you're not traveling down that path. You don't deserve to heal.
>>
>>85859773
Sabotaged and aged.
>>
>>85859966
>Besides, most micronutrients in meat aren't affected by heat
The exact opposite has been proven, in actuality
>>
>>85860633
By whom exactly?
Most micronutrients in meat are minerals which aren't heat sensitive, apart from that you have B vitamins of which only B1 is heat sensitive.
Unless you're retard who overcooks everything to the point of charring, it really isn't a issue.
>>
It's always funny seeing golems seethe and try so hard to defend the unproven theory that microbes cause disease. They worship words on a screen and are totally blind to reality
>>
>>85860694
>By whom exactly?
I fail to see why someone's name matters when the works are readily replicable.
Huffing your own gas all day has done some damage to that brain if you're unable to even ask ChatGPT to think for you

While some microbes cause diseases, the vast majority are neutral or even beneficial.

While some people unfortunately get infections, especially when their pre-existing immine system and microbomes aren't strong enough, the diseases most people suffer from are linked to over-sanitization and less diverse microbiomes.

We need bacteria. They are essential for optimal health, and most people don't have enough of the healthy strains.
>>85860694
>>
>>85860965
Terrain theory is nice, but it'll always be demonized by those with poor dietary decisions.
>>
Sushi is effectively cooked by using various processes to prevent or kill pathogens. Over 90% of meat is from factory farmed which are the most filth and bacteria ridden hellholes on the planet, and each step from getting it from the farm into the warehouses, trucks, and then store lets the bacteria multiply. Proper cooking is the only thing that makes it safe. If you eat raw meat you're fucking retarded
>>
*immune
>>85861003
>>
>>85861009
I only eat raw meat that was wild caught and flash frozen
>>
>>85861009
>If you eat raw meat you're fucking retarded
Our ancestors whom ate raw and "undercooked" meat had larger and denser brains than post-agricultural revolution brains. I'd say the exact opposite of your assertion is true in reality and partly responsible for your knee-jerk aversion to your own ancestral diet.
>>
>>85861032
Our ancestors didn't have factory farms or processed chemicals you massive fucking retard
>>
>>85861032
You do realize that people cooked their food way before the first agricultural revolution right?

You don't have to support factory farms or even animal suffering to eat meat. Wild caught bivalves are accessible
>>
>>85861075
Never seen this upload error before kek
>>
>>85861044
>>85861063
Our ancestors didn't have gmo crops or the modern-day domesticated crops, either, especially not year-round and off-season. The mammoth is dead, but ruminants live on.
No one is burning their food. Rawer tastes better, as any steak or sushi enjoyer will tell you
>>
>>85861003
I don't think that anyone's disputing that there are beneficial bacteria.
But eating raw stuff really isn't the optimal way to introduce healthy bacteria, because again there is a possibility of harmful bacteria and besides meat doesn't contain much beneficial bacteria to begin with.
There really isn't a reason to choose raw stuff over for example fermented goods.
>>
>>85861097
Meat, especially raw meat and not mixing it with other items, more importantly, feeds and nourishes the body and the beneficial bacteria already present, denying the growth of "bad" bacteria that thrive off of weakened immune responses and irregularly heightened consumption of sugars.
>>
>>85861084
I'm
>>85861023
And growing up, I used to like my meats cooked super well done and charred (despite the potential ill effects), and I preferred leaner meats.
I suspect that my body found the fats in those meats so toxic that it preferred to find the leaner cuts with all the fat cooked off to avoid whatever the hell was in those fats.
So i think there's something to suboptimal meats benefitting from cooking, but it's healthier to source better quality wild raw meats
>>
>>85861075
My local bivalves aren't very good for eating, but you can trade up by using them as fishing bait.
>>
>>85861112
How do the good bacteria in raw meat prevent the bad bacteria from growing in the body
>>
>>85861097
Controlled fermentation (rather than uncontrolled) isn't a good way to introduce or support microbiome diversity compared to eating raw foods. Oftentimes there isn't a lot of microbe diversity in the starters, and plenty of foods use just one strain. (Not saying it's useless, still has benefits, but as far as getting a diverse microbiome, I think many fermented products are overrated.)
>>
>>85861117
Like the reverse of what's happening to Michigan.
Not enough space to grow, the preexisting meat and fat-preferencing beneficial bacteria overrule the harmful bacteria and keep things regulated.
>>
>>85861114
You don't have to eat locally to be healthy. There are raw frozen scallops often at trader Joe's, Sam's club, etc..
Frozen meat keeps its nutritional value better than fresh if you're storing it for a while. Comes in handy to not have to run to the store all the time.
I'd imagine most people reading aren't up for taking up fishing for their meats if they're still at the stage of thinking they have to eat factory farmed stuff.
>>
>>85861113
If you're already eating leaner meats, you're likely already avoiding fat in other places while still consuming carbohydrate-rich foods, which may lead you to naturally avoid consuming fat with said other foods to avoid the sickening feeling of spiked blood glucose from mixing fat and carbs post-infancy. Blame the Randle cycle for that. Not many foods contain large quantities of both measures, but the bliss point combines them and salt for maximal addiction, not health. I wouldn't blame anyone for cutting one or the other out of their diet, however, without dietary fat, you'll eventually succumb to various malnourishment-related conditions.
So preferring chicken or whatever your source is cooked extra hot is just fine, most important nutrients are in the fat those meats lack anyway. Might as well make it enjoyable to your palate
>>
>>85861162
Fresh wild fish/ seafood sounds incredible to have access to. Sucks I'm landlocked with only man-made lakes around. All frozen fish import or factory farmed.
I do like eating once-frozen blocks of raw tuna and wild-caught salmon on occasion
>>
>>85861136
>>85861097
Should have said plenty of *products have only one strain
Either way commercially fermented foods are less diverse in their microbiology than traditional in general

>raw meat
tastes 10x better when the fat is expressed and seasonings have cooked in. Raw is too close to a "wet slab of chewy iron" experience.
>>
>>85860524
Anon, our ancestors started cooking their food (including meat) before we were even homo sapiens. We are what we are because we cook our food. It's tied to the way we evolved.
>>
After eating so many hundreds of pounds of raw pork loin from Walmart, I recently got the chance to try raw pork belly from Walmart. It tastes way better and makes me feel way better, obviously, since it has so much fat content. Unfortunately it also costs more than 2x as much per pound
>>
>>85861196
>>85861203
I prefer a nice 30s hot sear on both sides on a screaming hot cast iron pan. Nice and red on the inside, slightly seared outside, mildly rendered fat so it isn't as chalky as completely raw tastes. Very tasty, nowhere close to recommended cooking temps
>>
>>85861221
I'm definitely gonna need to try that
>>
>>85861169
That was while I was growing up (on the earlier side before being plant based for a long while). The meat I eat now is lean too.
I have gone very low fat sometimes, but generally I don't. I get most of my fats from plants. Right now it's mainly saturated and monounsaturated plant fats. I prefer high carb and low-ish fat for myself when I'm maintaining my body weight/fat.
Mixing fat, carbs, and salt indeed hits a bliss point. I use these types of foods in my diet to an extent but don't overdo them.
>>
>>85861185
I don't see how imported is bad. It's slightly less environmentally friendly than local, but nutritionally it shouldn't make a big difference, especially for frozen foods
>>
>>85861169
Also to add onto
>>85861229
I would eat meats that would normally be fatty, but I hated eating them fatty. I would eat around the fats and liked them spiced and cooked dark, maybe blotted with something after. So, I think the porn and beef I was usually exposed to were very low quality too
>>
>>85858309
>why is it that normies will eat tiny lil bits of raw meat that's been treated in a way that minimizes the risk of contracting parasites in a niche, specific culinary context but will not eat an entire raw steak from the grocery store in the car on the way home? Why aren't they eating entire sticks of butter and washing it down with a glass of 17 raw eggs? I don't get it.
normies are a mystery
>>
Lol the typo on *pork
Didn't mean porn
>>85861254
>>
It's completely arbitrary social standards. It's almost perfectly safe to eat beef and pork raw and untreated, but there's an idea that it's "gross" and "unhygienic" so you can't do it. People don't consider what actually leads to sickness and not, we're still basically in miasmic thinking but for ickiness. Nevermind that raw pork is served at restaurants here, that's socally accepted and apparently a completely different thing. Also american ideas infect our countries through the web, making people think things are as unsanitary and toxic as they are over there.

raw meat eaters are complete retards, just look at Goatis/Sv3rige

a lot of these "raw meat" influencers will eat rotting/fermented meat and raw meat covered in mold as well
>>

Where did you get that steak from? Some large farms that often have illness breakouts among the animals? Did you source it locally at a trusted farmer? Probably not.
