>>85884411
Voter turnout on midterms averages around 40% so you're part of the majority but you're also part of the problem. Democracy loses potency when most of the population has zero civic engagement.
>>
>>85884423
It's simple really. You have candidates and they're all controlled by rich jews/Israel. No matter what they say, they're lying to you and will do whatever benefits their jewish masters the most.

According to what? Votes get counted and democracy in the USA functions quite normally. We've had a peaceful transition of power every single election cycle except for once.
>>85884439
>It's all the Jews!!!!
Only one party is bombing Iran on behalf of Israel. I won't pretend that Democrats aren't compromised by Zionist as well, but again, only one party is sucking Jew cock so hard they'd start a war over it.

Yes, votes get counted, but the candidates themselves are pre-vetted. You don't get on the ballot unless you're supported by the existing power structure. It's a charade to give the populace the illusion of participation so they don't revolt.
>>
What is the left in America running on nowadays? They can't really do the DEI and Affirmative Action stuff anymore because the Supreme Court ruled against. How will they fuck white people over this go around?

That's how democracy has functioned since forever. It's a popularity contest, no fucking duh. What exactly do you want?
>>
>>85884457
>votes get counted
No, the machines count the votes. Even when people handle the ballots, it's always a bunch of left-wing minorities that have been caught on camera throwing out votes or simply not feeding them into the machine.
>Only one party is bombing Iran on behalf of Israel
Did you just completely forget what Obama did or you just pretending to be retarded? If you want to play the "muh party" game, then the Democrats are the only ones wanting to cut the genitals and tits off of children. They're also the ones that outwardly want to have open-borders and no voter ID so literally anyone in the world can come here and vote.

No, it isn't. In order to get on the ballot you have to be play ball with the jews/Israel. If you don't, you aren't getting on. ALL politicians at every level are controlled.
>>
>>85884457

Both parties WANT it that way because it's what their jewish masters want. It's the same in basically every country on Earth. Even Japan is now letting in pajeets. SK is beyond saving and will soon import a ton of browns and blacks too. All we can do is bunker down until we die at this point.

Reasonable. Same.

Multiple anti-war anti-Zionist candidates with zero funding from AIPAC are on track to win this year. Abdul in Michigan and Talarico in Texas, for example.
>>85884480
>everyone else votes anyway
Except they don't because millions of people think exactly like you do. It's the same as how people freeze when they witness a medical emergency. Everyone thinking "someone else will call for help" leads to no one calling for help.
>>85884483
>Let's see as nothing happens
Democrats are an incompetent party so it'll probably be a nothing burger when they take power but it's better than Trump actively steering the nation off a cliff with no checks on his power.
>>85884486
Immigration is not a large component of the affordability crisis, which is the main theme of this year's election. Obama deported more than Trump did. Stop using brown people as a scapegoat for legislative incompetence.
>>
>>85884512
Eh, I might as well, if someone here is voting democrat ill just vote republican to cancel their vote, maybe one day these parties can die

Yes because no candidate in the history of American politics have ever lied to get votes. You're a retard and way too far gone.
>>
>>85884521
If the people believe the civic system at its roots are corrupt then the people have the right not to participate in it. If you need people to vote, too bad. Let the system fall apart, like a slow car crash and hopefully something better comes in its death. Not that it matters.
>>
>>85884430
only adult men with a family and property should vote because they're the only ones with something to lose and will care about the consequences, women and other groups may serve support roles
political parties should be banned
many public roles should be assigned through sortition/lottery as public duty
>>
>>85884467

Yes, pushing in tens of millions of legal & illegal blacks and browns that suck up government resources, housing, healthcare, and take jobs for 60% less pay definitely isn't fucking things up for white Americans. You have a sub-60 IQ and I feel bad for you.
>>
>>85884553

Fix'd that for you. By adult I mean at least 25, preferably 35 should be the voting age.

even the brown people are getting mad at being replaced
>>
>>85884569

>>
>>85884717
They think because Jews let them chimp out to own white people that this means Jews are going to let them chimp out to own Jewish people. Never going to happen. Mark my words. They will start shooting them. Lefties are delusional. They think they know who holds the power but they don't.
>>
>>85884725
>They think they know who holds the power but they don't.
the way politics works is that you turn people to your side, and then you make a move. when that move is made, people will either move with you, move against you, or do nothing. the act of civic politics is setting the stage for the first phase so that nobody will oppose you during the second phase.
>>
>>85884722
Still didn't answer my question. Try again. So you're saying that no politician in the history of politics has ever lied to get votes?
>>
>>85884725
I mean can you blame them, most of their brains are fried on politics and activism so eventually they become jaded like the boomers and gen x.
>>
>>85884725
Remember the campus protests against Israel? How did that go for them? How quickly did they shut those protests down. Lefties stop protesting real fast.
>>
>>85884725
Isreal is bombing palestinian hospitals right now and the best leftists can do is boycott starbucks...
>>
>>85884729
politicians lie to get votes, sure, but you can't oppose the will or the party forever or you get primaried. how else could the republican party have lost control and let trump get elected? the gop of 10 years ago was destroyed by civic political forces and replaced. this is always on the table with successful activism. i'm not talking about protest, but being the person who's there at town halls and canvassing can make a difference. everybody just has protagonist syndrome and feels like helping isn't enough, they have to single handedly determine something for their work to matter. that's not how a communal activity works and it's why society is so broken.
>>
>>85884743
>muh society is broken
plato said the mob shouldnt have a say in the vote, but highly talented specialists, ur low iq
>>
>>85884743
Yeah, you're clearly jewish as fuck. You refuse to admit that all candidates are jew/Israel controlled. Fuck off JIDF, hope the shekels are worth it.
>>
>>85884753
I haven't said anything about democracy, I am speaking to politics in general. Regardless, Plato was in over his head and sort of retarded asa well. After all, the Tyrant of Syracuse situation got completely out of control for him. Even a philosopher king needs people to back him and enforce his will. Every stage in between from the bottom to the top is what determines if a system is worth saving or not. Corruption doesn't have to come from the top or the bottom, usually it's the middleman that needs to be righteous for societies to function.
>>
>>85884770
no plato was spot on, you and me shouldnt be allowed to vote thats whats broken
>>
>>85884739
It really is all too funny. I recall growing up and watching lefties slop up their Nazi movies, beat themselves off about their moral superiority, how they would have acted in those genocidal times like heroes, how they were ANTIFA. Yet, they have an active genocide occurring real time and they don't do shit. All they do is attack the easy target, white people, as they were trained to do since birth. Much like Muslims too. How many Muslims exist in the West now? What are they doing? Stabbing random white school girls? Calling themselves "conquerors" as their people are slaughtered by Jews? What are the oil rich Gulf Arab States doing while an active Muslim genocide takes place on their doorstep? Everyone is just cowards. Larpers. All of them.
>>
>>85884780
I already addressed this >>85884612
The poison that kills democracy is written on its bones. You just refuse to play politics because you're afraid that you'll lose.
>>
>>85884785
its mostly because leftists are majority virtue signalers that enjoy first world comforts of capitalism but dont actually care about the oppressed and weak, they only care about it giving them social status like angels, its demented and luckily that facade has been to fall
>>
Republican
Slow White Genocide Jew Supremacist

Democrat
Fast White Genocide Jew Supremacist
>>
>>85884789
>sophist thinks i care about his democracy
AHAHAHAHA, you only speak rhetoric and its your love language
>>
>>85884411
Same, voting is for mentally ill narcissists
>>
What's funny too. All my life, it was always the far right warning about the evils of the Jew. Now the left wants to pretend like they always knew. They didn't know shit. They aided in the Jew's power grab all throughout my life. When the Jew actively did things to hurt the white community, you had lefties cheering it on. These people are scum of the Earth and if this is what the Palestinians have to rely they are fucking doomed. Sorry to say.
>>
>>85884796
i am a sophist, sure why not. the sophists were much more interesting and deep than plato was. the academy only became interesting again when xenocrates too power. Aristotle left because Plato was an enormously retarded tool in the first place.
>>
>>85884841
People like you are whats wrong with society, you dont care about the substance of the argument. You only wish to win. Genuinely subhuman. Luckily there's people out there that still care about the material. People like you are why I and many many people will never vote. Your entire worldview is human poision. Postmodern filth.
>>
>>85884858
i care deeply about the substance of arguments, you're the one who's making personal attacks instead of substantive ones. every accusation is a confession, and all that.
>>
>>85884870
Your entire argument revolves around people not participating in the politcal system to be akin to losers with no power. You absolutely are a rhetorician and a bad one at that. Try maybe a different form of rhetoric to convince people towards your worldview? Oh wait...
>>
>>85884882
that's true though. people who don't participate in the political system don't have political power. you really are an idiot if you can't accept a bare tautology.
>>
>>85884886
A system needs people, the system accelerates the bad when they no longer participate. Use your head. Why might that be the outcome a populous of the unengaged be desirable? Not voting is in itself leverage. I wonder if you can use that little noggin to make sense of why.
>>
>>85884895
>the system accelerates the bad when they no longer participate
no it doesn't. the system just falls into a nihilistic pit where oligarchs at the top push their wills down onto the masses regardless of how immoral it is. there is no acceleration, it's just a stew of misery. the only way out of the darkness is to climb. you can't sit around and mope about things waiting for them to get better. it doesn't need to be voting, for a lot of people voting doesnt matter, but it does need to be tangible activism of some kind.
>>
>>85884910
Ah so you do get it! And what happens when the society slowly degrades? What happens in a globalized economy? Come on your so close!
>>
>>85884919
>what happens when the society slowly degrades? What happens in a globalized economy?
nothing. civil wars break out, migrations happen over and over again, the system decays over a period long beyond our lifetimes until finally the last outposts are sacked by barbarians. that's what happened to every empire. the system is too large to be killed by lethargy, to really kill it you need to thrust a dagger into its heart
>>
>>85884931
No, you do not need a dagger. You do not need instant collapse. You wont get either anyway. What you get is slow decay very slow decay that doesnt feel like it until it is. It wont even happen in our lifetimes. The globalized economy allows a new factor, capital can move across national borders much more easily than ordinary workers can move their lives, communities, and political interests. You are applying the micro but the macro seems to not compute.
>>
>>85884942
>don't do anything reckless or incite the masses goy just remain a whiny fag until you die of aids
>>
>>85884959
Hey im not a kike, just telling you what you seek is not realistic. There is 10s of millions like you, so go do something a prove me wrong Id love to be proven wrong. But from what I can tell, the people are in over their heads. History isnt as grand as the history books make it sound.
>>
>>85884467
white people in no way shape or form have ever been specifically fucked over by democrats or republicans or the government in general. if you really honestly truly think whites were affected by aa and "DEI" in anyway you might actually be a jew sponsored poster.
>>
i remember turning 18 and being excited to vote, and diligently doing my civic duty and reading about each candidate and proposition. But then i noticed nobody and nothing i voted on won by exactly 1 vote, so if i hadn't voted it wouldn't have made the slightest difference, so i stopped voting.
>>
>>85884967
eh i did activism for an important political movement in my local town and we ended up getting what we wanted. that's the only scale where i could really see my own work changing people but if you convince 10 people of something and they convince 10 more you are like a pebble making a ripple.
>>
>>85885006
>forcing whites to live near blacks that steal, loot, riot, and destroy everything isn't fucking whites over
>forcing whites to go to school with blacks that are low IQ, drag everyone down to their level, and are violent doesn't fuck whites over
You're 100% a kike
>>
>>85885013
Well localized effort can be effective I dont disagree with that. Im staunchly against the concept of a state but thats irrelevant in a global economy which needs to amass said capital to compete on that stage. I think the idea of national elections are stupid and I think we will see less and less of the population voting until it becomes a mandatory event where every citizen must vote but its not longer a democracy if you force that.
>>
>>85885027
>until it becomes a mandatory event where every citizen must vote but its not longer a democracy if you force that.
That's a retarded definition to pull. Athens worked in exactly that way.
National voting might not matter but national activism does.
Psyops are a great way to disproportionately have an impact on discourse. Everyone has figured it out but you.
>>
>>85884563
>illegal black
what illegal blacks lmfao you people are so deeply pathetic and clown like in your political beliefs. you only have the ability to understand and frame politics racially. you can be evil, self centered, and the victim all at once while having zero understanding of anything.
>>
>>85885036
Oh I've been psyopped now? By whom? The jews? The feds? The illuminati? Pakis? Chinks? All of them? My mom? Give me a break. I dont even know what you believe in so unless you make that clear arguing any further is a waste of time.
>>
>>85885042
all ideology is a psyop that uses reason and morality to justify motives. by using compelling argumentation, you impress your thoughts into others.
>>
>>85885053
That is correct I dont really know what you expect me to say if I agree with you.
>>
>>85885041
You do know that black Africans have made their way to the American continent by boats and then travel up to the US border, right? You also do know that there are black South Americans, right? They're not all brown.
>>
>>85885067
so then, following from that, the way to help achieve your political objectives is to convince people to agree with you while convincing them to become politically active at the same time. this is reasonable because political activism has an appreciable effect. just look at the genz protests in nepal or the student list in Serbia. people are desperate to be organized, all you need to do is step up and be a leader for them and they'll blossom under you
>>
>>85885018
youre whole world view operates around
>whites good black bad facts and truth don't matter
so its impossible to have a real conversation but ill try anyways.

there are more low iq whites than there are black people in the entire country, and black people are the race that have actually been fucked over for centuries at this point. whites in no way have "been forced" to live near black people. You can fuck off and leave and have a myriad of options to do so. move to the mid west right now. black people have been corralled into specific easily identifiable places for decades now. you are not an informed victim, youre a goy bioweapon obsessed with shifting all his problems to black people so the government can keep manipulating you. but aww poor whitey can't catch a break his life is so hard cause of black people :((( he's being fucked over
>>
>>85885088
Yes its reasonable and actually the best way to achieve what you want, I find it disgusting however so I do not engage. I do not wish to psyop people into my beliefs, I find that ultimately dishonest. Many do and good for them but just because I understand what they do does not mean I want to partake in that filth.
>>
>>85885071
and they're taking youre job, home, etc lmao? how many of them are they? like they're the reason we're in a housing crisis right it all makes sense now

being a rice guy over the centuries who blames every issue they're creating on immigrants and watching the low caste fall for it EVERY time must be euphoric
>>
>>85885098
weren't you the one who said

the world is a dark place because it is filled with people who say "that kind of work is for the heros, it's not for somebody like me". there are no heroes who are coming to save us. step up or step off.
>>
>>85885113
yes and I choose to step off, you can all kill eachother and ill sit back and watch, heroes dont exist only idealogues this is pretty reasonable desu
>>
>>85885119
if you are content to stand back and watch, stop trying to demoralize the masses. you're just as bad as any ideologue, except you have no positive affirmation of something constructive to be done. the people need hope, and outlooks like yours are only suffocating the masses.
>>
>>85885012

the world doesn't exist for the sake of our egos. that's what makes human society so amazing and powerful. it's the one thing that isn't ruled over by a set of immutable natural laws. participation in politics is beautiful because it is the realm where we decide the world we want to participate in and fight for it. out ideologies and aspirations are immaterial things, and the soul we imbue into them is a kaleidoscope of every citizen's hopes, dreams, ideals, and passions. giving up on something like that is just sad. of course the world feels mundane today, we don't have enough love for what is beautiful
>>
>>85885171
Does the fact that human institutions are socially constructed mean that human beings have genuine freedom to determine their collective existence? No. Humanity and the Natural world operate under different logic and the natural world has a habit of triumphing over human aspiration. I would only agree with you under the assumption of a post scarcity society. And beauty to whom.
>>
>>85885208
>Humanity and the Natural world operate under different logic and the natural world has a habit of triumphing over human aspiration
politics engages within the realm that humans do have some control over. we can allow or not allow the consumption of alcohol. laws are basically artificial rules which are secondary to the rules of nature. but to use an analogy, a game of D&D can become a lot more fun if you play with a supplement than just the vanilla game. politics funcitons in the same way. it makes a cruel and uncaring world less toxic by adding artificial conditions that encourage prosocial behaviors that make us happy.
>>
>>85885224
You are confusing the ability to change things with the ability to determine the outcome. For example while humans can influence their institutions, they cannot meaningfully control the outcomes of their collective decisions. A revolution might overthrow an institution but it may produce consequences that are unintended and this has been documented too many times. Economic reform /can create unintended incentive. A democratic majority can make decisions that ultimately undermine that democratic majority. Political agency is real but significantly less powerful than you are suggesting.
>>
>>85885296
i'm not saying you can deterministically create whatever outcomes you want, but by universally deciding on what outcomes we desire and moving towards them we stumble our way in the right direction.
>>
>>85885315
Universal agreement on desirable outcomes is an unrealistic premise though. Human beings have competing interests, incompatible values, and fundamentally different conceptions of what constitutes a "good" society. Politics exists partly because we cannot universally agree on what outcomes we should pursue. Do you not agree?
>>
>>85885350
that's why the law exists. once people are well organized enough for their own order to dominate, they can create laws which enforce their will on the minority that disagrees with them. of course this is how politics works. we can't universally agree but we can reach a conscensus that is universally accepted, that's what a civil society is.
>>
Jeez you are really testing my endurance here huh. Okay well your creating a false distinction. I never argued that political agency is meaningless simply because it cannot guarantee outcomes. Im arguing that the consequences of political agency are often very unpredictable that the confidence with which (you) advocate collective transformation is unwarranted. The ability to influence something doesn't mean you understand the system your influencing. Also what constitutes improvement? To whom? Every movement believes they have positive aspirations. History has an abundance of movements that pursued ostensibly "liberating" goals and as we all know produced horrific consequences. Why should your aspirations be treated as any more legitimate than theirs? And what you describe is the institutionalization of power. That has nothing to do with consensus.
>>
>>85885453

>>85885387
>>
>>85885453
>History has an abundance of movements that pursued ostensibly "liberating" goals and as we all know produced horrific consequences. Why should your aspirations be treated as any more legitimate than theirs?
their aspirations were legitimate, their organization just failed. creating a good state requires the actors involved to do a good job. all we can do is keep trying until we succeed.

you keep saying "how do you know this" and "how can you be certain that". you can't know for sure, that's why there are disagreements. all we can do is put our chips in the places where there are good chances to make things better. once we give up on that, civilization as a project is doomed.
>>
>>85885473
Why should we assume their aspirations were legitimate? A movement can genuinely desire something that is at its absolute core undesirable. Your treating the intentions of political movements as if they are inherently worthy without establishing any criteria by which we can distinguish "good" aspirations from "bad" ones. Also you are reducing massive catastrophic failures of civilizations throughout history down to something which is incredibly vague...
>do a good job
?
>>
>>85885523
>Why should we assume their aspirations were legitimate?
because people only aspire for things that they want
>Your treating the intentions of political movements as if they are inherently worthy without establishing any criteria by which we can distinguish "good" aspirations from "bad" ones.
they are. we need morality and something greater than ourselves or else all of this is stupid bullshit

I would not be surprised if there were a record low turnout.

Nobody but maga will vote for Trump, but nothing has changed about the Dems since the last election so nobody will flock to them either. I still think Dems will win a lot though, not because people like them or their policies but because the one who will bother to vote will want to vote against Trump.
>>
>>85885546
Dem voters are all mentally ill. They vote for anyone that isn't Trump/Trump aligned. There are videos of them saying they would vote for Hitler over Trump, which is actually hilarious. Hell, they'd probably vote for Pol Pot over Trump even though he'd immediately shoot them in the head.
>>
>>85885569
younger democrat men actually have a pretty similar policy platform to fascists. hitler would be desirable
>>
>>85885543
And now we are at the root of what you mean. Your presupposing that there is some objective or intersubjectively defensible conception of the "good" that humanity ought to pursue. There is not. I kept suggesting this to you yet you never gave a answer that I found satisfying so ill ask. Why should we assume that? You appeal to dignity, equality, and freedom yet dont you realize these are substituting one set of contested moral commitments for another. And back to my point, it is stupid bullshit! How do you establish that these principles should take precedence over competing values? When I say "to whom", you should just say to me "to me". I cant argue that, that's your subjective experience. But I am not arguing that either.
>>
>>85884430
I don't vote because i'm of the opinion that both major political parties are cancer and need to go, and that american political discourse is giga AIDS.

i wasn't even necessarily preaching virtue, i'm preaching social ethics. society needs to exist within a standard it can be held up against. the reason why things have gotten as bad as they have is because subversion is allowed to propogate infinitely without any form of recourse from the state. the fascists were right to call this sort of nihilism "antisocial", because it actively destroys the society it exists within. it's not that I have any hatred of you, but those ideas can't coexist with a healthy society.

>I thought they were a state that always voted republican
No, in the past Texas has voted blue the same way California has voted red. Votes change as demographics change.
>>
>>85885723
I understand what you're getting at, but I think we are ultimately talking past each other. I dont disagree that societies need shared norms or that institutions have a legitimate interest in preserving social order. My disagreement is with the assumption that any particular conception of social ethics is sufficiently selfevident to justify suppressing competing viewpoints. Also I find some of your argumentation to lean towards authoritarian, you may not realize it but you very much do go there.
>>
>>85885741
Texas is a non-white state now. Republicans are retarded if they think spics will ever vote for them. I suspect they know this however. The plan is to transform the Republican party. Vivek represents that transformation. It will fail however. Republicans need the racist vote and they can't maintain it.
>>
>>85885762
I am extremely authoritarian. I don't believe people can have loyalty to the state unless they are dominated by it. Like a child needs a parent, citizens need the state to control and protect them.
>My disagreement is with the assumption that any particular conception of social ethics is sufficiently selfevident to justify suppressing competing viewpoints.
think about the contrapositive to this position though:

if you cannot suppress competing viewpoints, then your conception of social ethics is not sufficiently self-evident.

i firmly believe that. everyone wants to have an opinion but if they refuse to nack that opinion with power it shows just how meaningless that opinion is to them. politics needs to return to violence. might makes right, because without might there is no right at all.
>>
>>85885781
Sure but you do realize you are conflating the ability to enforce a moral framework with the justification for that framework. A government can successfully suppress dissent without having demonstrated that its ideology is correct. All it has demonstrated is that it possesses superior coercive power and or "muscle" as some would call it. And so your argument also seems circular. You believe the state must dominate citizens because people are fallible, but the people administering that domination are equally fallible. Why should their judgment be privileged? I dont believe this holds up. Finally if
>might makes right
what grounds do you have for criticizing a stronger state that conquers yours and imposes its own ideology? By your reasoning, its victory establishes its right to rule. Ithink your confusing political authority with political legitimacy. The ability to compel obedience doesnt establish an obligation to obey. It isnt that simple. So I will ask you this based on what you have told me. Do you believe the state has a moral obligation to govern justly, or do you believe that whatever the state does becomes "just" simply because it has the power to enforce it? And I guess I should mention, you realize how dangerous this is no? It justifies your exact enemy doing the same to you. The tools you create can and will be used against you so are you comfortable with that? How is that a supposed peaceful world? To me, that is a world of absolute violence. Violence cannot maintain peace and it never has, it always falls.
>>
>>85885826
>Sure but you do realize you are conflating the ability to enforce a moral framework with the justification for that framework
this is why politics exists. people will only support the existence of a system they believe in. tyrannys fall apart over time because they go against too many people to remain stable.
>Why should their judgment be privileged?
because somewhere down the chain, a person needs to step in and impose their will. otherwise, there will never be any organization at all. humans are social creatures, and we need to be organized on a fundamental level in the same way we need food or sleep.
>The ability to compel obedience doesnt establish an obligation to obey.
it doesn't on its own, but the authority that the state needs to impose its violence comes from its right to rule, which is vested by the ethos of the people. illegitimate governments are destroyed by the mechanism of politics reaffirming the ethos into the system. it's a push and pull. we are just in the pit descending into anarchy right now, and have to desperately fight against it to avoid the worst excesses of modern society.
>And I guess I should mention, you realize how dangerous this is no? It justifies your exact enemy doing the same to you.
of course. in fact, if somebody rises up with enough authority to kill me for my outwardly stated machiavellian beliefs, that's a fantastic outcome. it means that my ideals have been realized, and the lie of their truth can die with me. the next generations can be protected from the horrible ugliness our world has created that acts as though it were designed to eradicate the souls of its people.

>Violence cannot maintain peace and it never has, it always falls.
peace is just a world where violence is one sided. there's a reason we always look to the Gods as infinitely more powerful than us. order, even cosmic order, must be regulated by power. Peace can only exist when power is benevolent. Everything else is a lie.
>>
>>85884521
>Democrats are an incompetent party
lolno they are very competent at doing what they are elected to do: funnel taxpayer money to their pet "non-profits" and "infrastructure projects", which then disappears down unauditable holes
>>
>>85884403
Lol. The original political ad that comes from is fucking hilarious because of how wrong it is. It was trying to paint majority of white men as the people on welfare when the most basic of Google searches will show you otherwise
>>
>>85885849
I think we are getting closer to the actual disagreement between me and you however I dont think you understand the ramifications of what you are saying at least from the angle I am looking at. I dont disagree that political organization requires authority or that states need the capacity to enforce their laws. I agree. My disagreement is with your assumption that concentrating coercive power somehow resolves the problem of political legitimacy. You say peace can only exist when power is benevolent. But how do you prove that benevolence? The people administering the state are just as fallible, self interested and susceptible to ideological delusion as everyone else and I think we agree on that foundation. But what prevents them from confusing their own interests with the interests of society? And just because you are willing to die for your ideology does not make it just and if anything that is (you)r prerogative, but it doesnt establish that other people should be subjected to the same thing, thats quite violent no? You expect "the many" to die for such a thing that they may have no awareness of. You appeal to the ethos of the people as the source of political legitimacy so what happens when the state begins acting against that ethos? Who gets to decide and what recourse do the citizens have? In my opinion I think your /confusing the necessity of political authority with the necessity of authoritarian domination. The fact that society requires organization and enforceable laws doesnt mean its governing institutions should be exempt from accountability. Your attempting to solve human fallibility by concentrating power in institutions administered by equally fallible human beings. Dont you see? All youve done is moved the problem around rather than solving it. Nothing changed.
>>
>>85885910

>>
>>85885912
>The people administering the state are just as fallible, self interested and susceptible to ideological delusion as everyone else and I think we agree on that foundation.
They aren't necessarily. Like we already said, the organizing people in a political system should be intellectual and moral elites. That is much better than just anyone.
>But what prevents them from confusing their own interests with the interests of society?
Nothing, inherently. But in the long run, people won't defend the interests of a state that they don't love. I feel llike you're intentionally ignoring my point. The whole purpose of politics is to connect the tangible structure of power with the transcendant spiritual properties of human consciousness. We desperately need to marry the two things. Power without ideology is brutish tyranny, and ideology without power or orthodoxy is a sterile pool of misery. We currently exist in the latter state, and need to reaffirm the things that we can agree are worth fighting for. Ideally, we'll even fight over them a little bit and prove that we have faith by sacrificing our blood.
>The fact that society requires organization and enforceable laws doesnt mean its governing institutions should be exempt from accountability.
Power exists within people inherently. The people change, and so does the policy. No system can remain in the same state forever, so it's best to keep it as close as possible to a healthy equilibrium where stability is encouraged but reform is allowed through sanctioned channels.

White people make up the largest share of welfare and public assistance recipients in Arkansas, accounting for roughly 54% to 60% of participants depending on the specific program and data set:
o Medicaid / ARHOME: According to data from the Arkansas Department of Human Services, approximately 60% of recipients in the Arkansas Health and Opportunity for Me (ARHOME) program are white, while around 18% are Black.
o SNAP (Food Stamps): White individuals or white-headed households make up roughly 52% to 54% of SNAP recipients in the state, reflecting the state's overall demographics (where roughly 70% of the total population is white).

white people make up majority of welfare recipients in the state where that ad aired so whats wrong?

I do agree that political leadership shouldnt simply be determined by the whims of an uninformed majority
>the mob
However, I dont think your solution addresses the problem either desu at least not adequately. You say political authority should belong to intellectual and moral elites but who determines who qualifies as an elite? Plato as we all know suggested an idea but I dont think it holds up in our current world but I agree with the vague concept he presented. How do you distinguish genuine "wisdom" from ideological conformity or self interest? You are still placing enormous trust in fallible human beings except now they are insulated by their supposed intellectual and moral superiority. I also disagree that the populations willingness to defend a state demonstrates its legitimacy. People can love institutions that oppress them, just likw how they can oppose institutions that genuinely serve their interests. Saying that people and policies change doesnt really address accountability. The question from me isnt whether political systems can change but whether they possess mechanisms that allow people to challenge and correct those exercising authority including the ruling elite themselves. I agree that political power needs an ideological foundation, but I dont believe ideological cohesion should come at the expense of institutional accountability. Otherwise you get a problem, how do you prevent the people entrusted with preserving society from eventually becoming its greatest threat? Its possible that you cannot have both at once. Not with humans at least.....
>>
>>85886014
>You say political authority should belong to intellectual and moral elites but who determines who qualifies as an elite?
the elites. the system is naturally self-evolving because humans are born with the will to power. the problem right now is that the last ethical system we had was the christian ethic which said that the pursuit of power was something that evil people did. because of that, power became sought after only by evil people. we need to remoralize power which is my entire thesis. it doesn't even matter what, but society needs to be converted from post-truth to re-truthed. as long as there is cooperation and hope, humanity will succeed.
>, how do you prevent the people entrusted with preserving society from eventually becoming its greatest threat?
i swear, you're like talking to a brick wall. that's the entire point. you have to have a little faith.
