The Haley Stevens thing makes me sad. If you look at what happened, her betrayal isn't even a fix-up by the cowardly centrist democratic establishment, they were genuinely surprised. She seems to be doing this solely because of her dumb genocidal conservative husband. So many women will pretend to be liberal or left leaning or whatever but then throw away all their ideals if the man they are attracted to tells them toI wish I could have a left wing gf who would not only settle for me and accept me for who I am, but who would also remain committed to her left wing values even if I turned conservative and tried to get her to be conservative too. But sadly women's idea of love is at once far too picky (for shallow matters of appearance, height, masculine/dominant personality, etc) AND far too unconditional and compromising on stuff that should actually matter (once they like a man, they'll stick with him if he stops caring, if he hits her, if he cheats, if he becomes a morally repugnant bigot, etc). It's really depressing. I want love (which I can't get) and I also want a love that would end if I hit her or supported republicans or was bigoted or something (but if I ever got love, that important stuff wouldn't end it)
