Am nurse, hate it. I'm not good at anything else and besides that there's nothing else I could do that matches the pay. At least hours are good. What other job lets you work two days a week but pays more than most five days a week job? At least it carries some status and you're high enough in pecking order that only social games you have to be cautious about is intra-level social violence. Women are extremely aggressive and cruel. Working man jobs was way more chill, you just did stuff but everyone liked each other. But in man jobs boomer dicks purposely try to fuck you over. Nurses too, but you're too valuable to let go. Especially if you're good at it. A very low bar since the difference between ok and good nurse is doing something that actively kills someone vs makes them die slightly slower.

Bsn online took one year while working full time as rn and was basically just paying money for a degree because there was no work besides tests and writing papers. I just read the textbook and remembered stuff I guess. Passed nclex in 75 questions, bachelors was all theory and bullshit completely detached from reality. The actual job part was completely different to school and I wanted to an hero during orientation once working with a license. Prefector lied or deceived instead of just saying this is literally illegal and unethical but that's what nursing is irl and we do this but chart that.If you're even the tiniest bit spergy go straight to icu, ignore everyone who says muh skills muh intuition muh cut your teeth in stepdown first. Icu is unironically easier than medsurg or anything else. People who aren't actually sick will fucking hate you because you didn't lick their ass enough or fluff their pillow with sufficient love. Bedside manner and survey is infinitely more important than actually helping anyone. Go to cath lab or something when you're sick of icu. Meme floors are for energy drink social media nurses where social skills count more than clinical ability.
