Met a chick with crazy long hair at the flea market a few days ago, was spending a few days with relatives, so I couldn't post about it until now. I still remember this girl from high school. I was a sophomore I think, and I think she was a senior, but we had a class together, and she had hair down to between her butt and her knees. I wasn't blocked per se, but I pretty much blanked out my insta because I had no plans on using it anymore. That's probably what happened.

So what's the attraction to long hair, for those who have it? I've never considered myself a hair person in particular (aside from the normal stuff like healthy hair being a general health indicator) but some of these are kind of opening my eyes. For me, what's most attractive for some reason is the pure impracticality of it. Hair down to the ground definitely limits movement in a lot of ways, and even if you put it up, there's a good amount involved in securing it well enough to not get in the way. So either way you have to deal with it and plan for it, to say nothing of daily upkeep

I feel like super long hair being impractical and requiring constant maintenance is the whole draw for me. It's like the softest of the softcore versions of bondage or footbinding or those rings people extend their necks with. It's a daily, intentional choice, which limits you in some ways physically and in some ways behaviorally in order to maintain, and it's the binding of the will towards an intentional end that I consider most attractive.

what people do and experience individually as they are growing up almost always has a pretty large effect
outside of there, ive also seen the handicap principle which might go some way to explaining it too - you need to be healthy, have the good genetics and abundance of nutrients to grow long hair
there is the time/effort in to make keep it clean and healthy looking as well but in this theory she will make it look effortless or easy because her genetics are so good, and because her diet/nutrient intake is so good
a woman who is "naturally thin" is arguably more attractive than a woman that has to restrict their diet massively and work out 7 days a week to keep the same physique
personally i wouldnt go as far as comparing it to anything like bondage, although that comparison could likely tie in with a different line of reasoning

its not the immediate sexual neuron activation line but more in the mating strategy/pair bonding/relationship whatever you want to call it side of your brain
like the same way you might trust someone more if they have a pet, or have a bunch of healthy plants, or a clean place to live
theyve got evidence of being able to keep up with a schedule, make a decision and stick to it
someone chopping and dying their hair every other week might have some impulsivity issure to keep in check, sure it can be framed as being "sporadic" or "in the moment" or whatever but ill take the long natural hair girl home every time if i have the choice
