Okay you retard, let me school you. They're releasing these mosquitos so that it would breed with the malaria breeds and therefore the next generation of mosquitos will not carry the malaria disease.

It's a Jewish style of intervention. Think of it like wanting to kill the white race and therefore you promote or in this case, forced them to race mix.

I think you will find, Mr. Bond, that these mosquitoes reproduce quite rapidly.

That's a lie; Google wants to release all those mosquitoes to get revenge on us for using ad blockers.

What could possibly go wrong?

Less people being affected by a life-threatening disease?

I thought it was like they do with the screwworms where they're releasing sterile mosquitos to fuck with the population numbers.
And I was hoping we were finally getting around to Total Mosquito Genocide.

I hope that is the only aftermath

TWO REPEATING DIGITS

Your fortune: Good Luck

Kinda. They're releasing male mosquitos carrying a bacteria that prevents the female's eggs from hatching.

Removing any species from its natural ecosystem is equivalent to reducing the resiliency of the ecology, although the extent of such an effect is up to speculation.
>>
>>12984608
No one is removing these species from their natural habitat. We, humans, are only introducing another species of harmless mosquitos to breed with the ones that carry the malaria disease, so that future generations will not carry the disease. You'll still get bitten outdoors, just that your chance of getting seriously ill drops significantly.

bugs get to have sex and we don't
>>

The mosquitos released won't prevent female mosquitos from carrying the malaria parasite, it will reduce the population of mosquitos by rendering the female's eggs infertile.
Furthermore, the male mosquitos don't bite so the released mosquitos won't increase the incidences of disease transmission.
Overall, they intend to release bacteria carrying male mosquitos annual in order to reduce the mosquito population, specifically the species Aedes aegypti, and possibly eliminate it locally.
Ecologies, being complex systems, make it so it's impossible to predict all the long term effects such actions might have.

just sex the bugs

To say that it's impossible to predict the long term effects of these actions is false. The fact is field trials are being done for a long time, and in my area since 2011. There are no net-negative in introducing genetically-modified mosquitos as there aren't harmful towards both the ecology and prevents vulnerable humans from getting affected with life-treating diseases. As for your statement about preventing female mosquitoes' eggs from becoming fertile, that is dangerous towards the natural habitat as there are animals who consumes mosquitoes therefore it will cause an imbalance in the food chain. These genetically-modified mosquitoes are released, and I'm like a broken record, so that it will breed with the wild ones therefore rendering the next generation from being disease carriers; it passes a virus-killing gene. This method is obviously better than the chemical sprays that kills everything indiscriminately, and on top of that survivals will build a resistance and thus a stronger chemicals are needed, the endless cycle continues.

It always make me smirk whenever a 4channer armchair expert makes a statement about "long term effects" on any topic just because something innovative makes them feel uncomfortable.

Except the ones discussed in the article aren't genetically modified.
The control mechanism is a bacteria named Wolbachia, that prevents mosquito reproduction.

>To say that it's impossible to predict the long term effects of these actions is false.
If you can accurately predicate the long term behavior of a complex system, you can call Sweden and tell them which Nobel prizes you want.
