I am distraught. It has been a month since I mowed thhe lawn so I just took out the lawnmower to mow the lawn. In one spot on the lawn after mowing I found there was a small den in the ground with baby bunnies moving inside it they were so smol only a few inches long. Thank goodness I did not turn them into pink mist with the lawn mower but I saw one baby bunny died because I accidentally drove over it with the wheel so the poor bune died from heavy weight on top of it.
I would prefer if bunnies did not try to live in the yard so this wouldn't have the chance to happen again but I left the rest alone and hopefully they will run away and live somewhere else that won't expose them to busy lawnmowers.

I ran over a turtle with the lawnmower once.
Cried like a woman for almost minutes.
There's no use beating yourself up about it. They were intentionally made to be hard to find and if you knew they were there you would've avoided them.
If you left the grass high they would've just been eaten by a snake at some later point.

If you mowed your lawn a little more often then you wouldn't have grass so tall that bunnies can build a nest in it

I looked out the window and I saw many things.
I saw a crow fly around and stand on the fence and then hop down to the ground. It went over to the baby bunny den and picked one up with its beak. I heard the baby bunny make a squeak of fear and the crow dropped it. I saw the mommy bunny appear in the yard and run over to the baby on the ground. She picked it up and I missed it but I think she safely put it back. She's now standing around near the den to keep the birds away. A much smaller bird was on the ground and she chased it away. I think a bird must have already taken away the dead baby bunny because I don't see it (I picked it up and moved it next to a tree to rest in peace). I am so sorry for what I have done to this little family. I saw 3 or 4 baby bunnies when I first found them so I hope the other 2 or 3 survive and get to live somewhere safer. At least there is a chance now because the mommy bunny is back to fix the baby den or move them now that the grass is short and birds found them.

She's going to have two dozen other kids by the end of the summer. I'm not exaggerating. Just let it go.

She has been a diligent sentinel for her surviving young for the last half hour. The den is 1/3rd down from top and 2/3rds from the left of picture. Looks like a lighter patch of dirt.

gibe her a carrot for reparations
>>
>>12985451
I dont have any carrots but I want to stay away right now because I'm worried that if she sees me and gets scared away she won't come back to care for her young.

Well I am sad because the evil crow knows they are there now and crows are too smart and remember things so it will likely come back before they grow big enough in the next 3 weeks to survive.
banti (birds are not that important) but also bavi (bunnies are very important)

I hate stuffs like that :((( like one time in the interstate I was driving and a groundhog just ran across the road as fast as possible and there was no way I could have missed it :(((( poor creatures

The difference is that these were innocent and cute lives that I affected. They weren't old enough to fend for themselves. This was no random accident, it was my fault.

I was driving out in the country one time and a little bunny decided to zoom under my car when I was going at least 55. I felt the little b-bump and knew he was a goner. On way back I saw that he squished almost perfectly in half. I named him Lumpy and said a little prayer for him and moved on with my life. Sorry little buddy, you shouldn't have tried it. :-(
