most people who have some issues can fight back and fix them with enough time/effort. i can't remember the last time i felt like that though, because any "improvement" just buys a bit of time. not unlike the brave, weary young men fighting for germany in ~march 1945, the goal has become delaying the inevitable. they couldn't take back those synthetic oil fields because their vehicles literally had no fuel left to begin with.
