You don't have to daydream. Download neothesia for Linux or synthesia for windows and buy a 88 key midi keyboard. Also make sure you can hear clearly what you play, set up a proper soundfont like Salamander

A piano has eighty eight keys, it has um 8 octaves, most music is played in the center row by approximations of C, F and D... um, some other stuff I remember too but I have to dig out the electronic piano from the closet.
