I moved to a rental house to avoid this. I found no other option. There is no other reliable option.

I just got a tiny shitty old house that is not attached to any other houses. It's far superior to any other option. Rent is about double any reasonable apartment, but worth it. Eternal peace and quiet, minus the occasional dog barking across the street.
