there are at least three hardline theocratic regimes operating in the world today.
you'll hear the news again and be like wtf.
again.
these three regimes have the appearance of an antagonistic relationship. in reality they are mutually cooperative in a symbiosis.
the founding fathers guided by the hard won experience of the reformation sought to establish a government that could withstand the wiles of hardline theocratic regimes
and to that end a blood and eternal oath was sworn to wipe out the reformation.
the rude must be subtle to be effective.
now the law of equivalent exchange was presented as full metal alchemy and
this compounds the difficulty of governance because the theocratic regimes will demand primacy at the expense of all else.
the intractability we see is a direct result of these three hardline theocratic regimes demanding primacy; each in it's own way and for it's own reasons, yet working in concert and choreographing the invisible dance called oligarchy.

once you understand this you break free from wtf. it is the goal of the symbiosis to keep us constantly stuck on intractability and wtf.
cooler heads were meant to prevail and this is the promise of the reformation and it's mandate to maintain separation of church and state.

without strong judicial and legislative commitment to the reformation of the founders the difficulty is compounded and the intractability cemented like steel reinforced concrete.

perhaps an act of God will restore.
acting in the wake of such an act would be necessary to achieve the full benefits of such an act, but i'm doubtful that many people would understand this.
