tweaking so im gonna use this thread to ramble about random topics with no consistency or context.
Revenge of the Sith is one of the most fun movies out there to the point where it just mogs all other star wars movies by a long shot. The flow is immaculate and the dialogue isn't afraid to be corny and it's all the better for it. I miss when writing was less self consious. There's no winks to the camera or insecure irony like "well that just happened". Anakin doesn't like sand, he doesn't like it because it's course and rough and the movie tells us this because the because the movie has confidence, it has aura.

I wonder if the rise of online critics lead to the era of movies that rely on meta irony and fourth wall breaks as a shield from the possible embarrassment of a movie being unintentionally corny or self serious. If you watch random crap from the 00s, it feels like the Nostalgia Critic or more generally that archetype of the hard to please fan got parodied a bizarre amount, as if the fedora wearing movie review guys really got under the skin of writers and directors at the time. As if they took Doug Walker a lot more seriously than he takes himself.>>13213229it's okay, I hope you find the thread for you.

idc about freud or any of that shit but people always act like it's this big own to say "oh he just wanted to fuck his mother", like, maybe his mom was hot. I haven't investigated this and i don't care to. But you know how guys say about older women "man, if she was my mom id bang her to town and back", ok but let's say she really was, what then smartass? Would you stand by your statement or would you retreat into a state of denial? Food for thought.>>13213237ive been doing this :3
