got promoted today and now i feel really sick about it
>>13213395congrats
hm. *taps pencil on thing*
>>13213399>>13213400sequential dubs
>>13213395this is rape culture btw
>>13213399being promoted is never a good thing for me i hate the feeling of people having higher expectations it's not even really a proper promotion more like management's very roundabout way of of dealing with general company discontent about stagnant wages that don't keep up with inflation/rising life costs but without actually bumping everyone's wages up at the same timei'm basically still staying in the same role but i still can't shake the feeling "more" is going to be expected of me now even if the pay bump when you take into account inflation is really insignificanti really want to quit
>>13213427they wanted to make me a manager but it's $3.00 more an hour for way more headache Like I'd have to open up, observe the orders coming in and train new hiresYour fortune: Outlook good
>>13213427Just rememebr the words of Dave Mustaine - the more seriously you take things, the harder the rules become
>>13213430also it's not like a normie manager it's more like taking on a workload cuz we're understaffed and I swear like 2/10 hires can't hack it out cuz it's a manual labor job we hire women and they can't do shit aside working the register and logistics so they need ogres like me to actually carry the shit off the trucksYour fortune: Outlook good

>>13213430i die inside whenever my boss asks me in what direction i want to "grow" in i always kinda turn it around how i am really happy in my current role bullshit but without outright saying i don't want to be promoted at all but this thing caught me off-guard because the company had this job position restructuring bullshit i haven't been paying attention to at all and i was suddenly called into a meeting and was basically double-promoted and got like a 16% pay raise which is effectively more like a 5% raise since our base wages haven't seen any increase at all for like over 2 years but they sure put a lot of superlative bullshit down for the role description which i don't think describes me so i'm just gonna assume i can just keep putting in the same amount of effort
>>13213427>i still can't shake the feeling "more" is going to be expected of me nowjust don't do it. creative incompetence and other modes of work avoidance are your best resource. that's the slacker way!
