Okay so like I said, I made a sausage casserole with my slow cooker and it contained sausage sweet potatoes leeks carrots red onions chopped tomatoes and it filled the slow cooker completely and so there was enough to last me 4 days
after a slow cooker if finished cooking you can keep it on the warm setting, which is a temperature above the danger zone of scary bacteria, but below the cooking temperature, and apparently the energy usage is very low too
it is now day 4 and there's one portion left but it has been kept warm for much longer than I should have realistically kept it lole so I'm not sure if it's safe to eat, it also smells like very unfresh tomato soup but I don't want to waste food so I will be eating it soon please wish me luck

No, that's very common
But don't get confused
The two things being talked about here are not mutually exclusive
You can slow cook things in a boiling broth and then refrigerate it after it's cooked, that's a lot more standard than what I am doing, the warm function of the slow cooker is not really meant to be a multi-day preservative
