i bought a replacement toyota key housing

but there's something called a transponder chip in it that prevents the key from working

it was not part of the pcb and was held in a plastic hole with with epoxy

so i had to sand down the plastic housing by hand to retrieve the transponder chip and put it in the new key

why do they make even the tiniest DIY this annoying

why do you make even the tiniest dub so inspiring
>>
lmao my honda key had the transponder chip thingy in the remote so you can just move it to a new shell and no issues

Cause you're technically supposed to reprogram the transponder chip instead of just replacing it with the old one.
