You hear people talking about electromagnetic energy or a pulse as if it's something different than em radiation or "light" in any wavelength. Trying to research for example what an emp is is very confusing. It's like people don't know what they're talking about and just using buzzwords. But I found some indications there are actually differences in what's happening between em waves and an em pulse, like there's just a propagation in let's say the electric field, but it's very unclear. What I want to know is what is it that can travel through space in terms of fields, is it all light, including invisible light such as radio waves or gamma radiation. What do the different things aka different ways fields act look like?

emp is caused by the burst of x-rays aka ionizing radiation

It's not fundamentally different. It's the same action in the same field. The main difference is scale.
If a standard radio wave is like a rhythmic tapping from a drumstick, a sufficiently strong EMP is more like a giant whack with a sledge hammer.

This is the problem
>>16985858
Says it's x-rays
>>16985874
Says it's "electric current" or "gamma photons" etc.
>>16985887
Implies it's a high watt radio wave

Light and radio waves are literally the same thing. Gamma rays, x rays, visible light, microwaves, 5G, AM radio... all of it. Same stuff; different frequency. These electromagnetic waves all induce electric current through conductive media.

the bomb's x-ray burst ionizes surrounding air and because lightweight electrons move faster than heavier ions there is a separation of charges which creates an electric field. The EMP is that field discharging.

I postulated many years ago to slow down total nuclear destruction in the moment they would have satellites of nuclear fuelled EMP devices. Americas Golden dome could have them.

An EM pulse is temporary and an EM wave is continuous. Magnetism is the bending of electrons. Different particles can move through different states of matter it really depends. It’s not all light, light is made up of photons, gamma rays are a form of energy that occur when some particles degrade. Radio waves are particles bouncing off one another. They look like ripples in a pond.
