What if our Universe is actually just a micro scale of a bigger structure we can't perceive, what if we are the Tardigrades of a bigger universe? Like we seem to perceive time only linear, one dimensional, it seems to flow only into one direction but what if these dimensional limitations only exists because we are just a mere fraction of the big dealLIke there isn't just one time dimension but several time dimensions but we can't perceive if because we are the fucking tardigrades of this existence
>>16987597what would multiple time dimensions even mean?
>>16987735Multiple axes for time. Same as with space, but with time.
>>16987858So its fairly easy to draw a hypercube with a 4th dimension of space, but can you draw a timeline of a 3D cube moving in both an up/down and positive/negative time axis?
>>16987735>multiple time dimensionsThis is actually a seriously discussed topic in theoretical physics, believe it or not. The TL;DR is that a "time" dimension is distinguished by its asymmetry (namely, global entropy is always increasing as you move "forward" in the time axis). So a second one would be either another "direction" in which entropy is increasing or at least some other qualiry of the universe that has a similar asymmetry along this new axis.
It's just this planet and it's simulation.
>>16987862Yes, I can
in a loose sense time is multidimensional, other directions correspond to possibilities. Presumably >>16987862 wouldn't be a timeline, it would be a timeplane, and the spatial cube would move continuously in all time directions. Horizontal slices (WLOG) correspond to the timeline that would pan out. Translating that slice up and down corresponds to varying the various "universes". Vertical slices (intersecting horizontal axis at t = now) are ways things might look right now. Note that continuity in all directions implies that "universes" that are "close" to ours have only minor tweaks. to get REALLY /x/, horizontal slices are how things would unfold with no further acts of will, but consciousness/agency/willpower is what slides things up and down in the non-time-like direction.>source: it was revealed to me in a dream
>>16987885Go on, then.
>>16987597string theory suggests this with branes, but we dont know how to do an experiment to test if its legit or not. there are also non-string theory concepts but those seem even harder to test for.
To higher dimensional life we would appear to be intelligent bacteria.
>>16987597Why are you so fixated on tardigrades? Is it because you are a tard? Babys first existential thought, very impressive. Your post reminds me of a 6th grader asking if the universe is just gods eyeball. Go study metaphysics and quantum mechanics before suggesting such retarded theories little bro.
>>16987976I did already.
>>16988542So post it, then, you know the rules, pics or it didn't happen.
But we are. That's exactly it. You don't even have to think of new dimensions, just know that the current dimensions have no end in sight. The visible universe alone has trillions of galaxies, stars and planets... and there is no wall, there is more of it, we are just not capable of perceiving it. Time is not only long if you think of 13.8 bi years, but the dozens of billions of years to come and the fact that we don't know if it has a beggining or an end. It's also fun to think of proportions like that because to a colony of bacteria on the table, it doesn't matter if the guy who owns the home is rich or broke, if the country entered a war or not. A worm can be killed by a shovel or a meteor and it wouldn't be able to understand either. In the same way, if all I've described in space and time is but a particle of dust to some bigger universe, then we exist simultaneously, invisible to each other. That doesn't mean we don't affect each other, the corona virus is extremely small, but it moved the world of humans. What if a big swoosh could take away the entire universe that we know at once, something unknown to us, bigger, something that could happen every 15bi years, we wouldn't know. And this would be as banal as cleaning a table to their level, whereas to the micro organisms is a shower of life-ending liquid all over the known world.
