If you were to totally reshape the solar system in order to optimize space exploration for humanity, how would you do it? You can add planets, change earth, our sun, whatever you like as long as humans from today could live>no ancient alien technology
>>16992799You only really need to make the earth smaller so it's easier to get to space. Nothing else really matters.
>>16992799the point of exploration is to explore. there is no way to minmaxx it.But its already pretty much perfect. moon as a testing ground, mars and venus as the earth analogues, gas giants as the distant objectives. The fact the gas giants "lined up" for Voyager 2 to see all 4 of them on one trajectory is minmaxxed enough
OK, humanity evolves in a 1 AU dyson sphere. The volume of space is astronomical. The aliens which built it are dead and humanity must assume control of their crumbling infrastructure before the sphere starts to wobble more. It's already becoming eccentric and some parts of the inner surface are closer than others, leading to strife and conflict as entire species migrate.
>>16992800Closer moon with plentiful water on the surface?
>>16992801I would have said a slightly lower density earth so it's easier to go to space but I'm sure tweaking this parameter changes a whole lot of things. I would have swapped location and atmosphere Mars and Venus as it would have been way more valuable and easier to colonize with a planet with a similar gravity than on Earth and easier to terraform with a thinner mars like atmosphere. Add a moon sized satellite to it make it slightly closer. Maybe a K type star for better stability and longevity. Make our Moon more interesting it seems such a barren shithole like we have the dullest satellite in the solar system. Something like Europa with water or denser material but yeah something lower gravity and thin/no atmosphere to serve as a cheaper launchpad to space
>>16992809Water is not going to stick to a moon at Earths orbit it's too hot here.
>>16992799Obviously the answer is to bring the planets closer together, and bring in Venus and Mars into habitable ranges.
>>16992865Let's go one further and bring all the mass in the universe to earth. Why go there when there can come here.
>>16992799I would put Africa, South Asia, and South America inside the SunAnd put Sand New Jersey on the Moon
>>16993007actually Sand New Jersey can go in Saturn or Jupiter
>>16992799Make the earth slightly smaller so that it's easier to get to space
>>16992802Bro that's just ringword
>>16992799Yo calculate where to put planets and what their irbits need to look like so you can have a mesh of lagrangepoints everywhere and pivot tons of interplanetary slingshot routes for transportation of asteroid mining stuff and other mercantile and scientific endeavours idk
>>16992799add more planets between the existing planets so that all the planets are touching and then people can simply walk to any planet at their leisure
