Why is the Fine Structure Constant always represented as 1/137 even though that’s not accurate, and there are infinitely many better fractions to represent the irrational constant? Despite this, physicists always use 1/137 or a variation of 1/137 (such as 1/137.035999177) but they NEVER use a more accurate fraction like 4889/669969. I don’t think there are any other examples of physical constants being represented as a fraction with a decimal in the denominator. Anyone who passed 5th grade math knows that a fraction with decimal places can just as easily be represented as a fraction WITHOUT any decimals.Also, 137 just happens to be the 33rd prime number. 33 is the master spiritual number.
