What if we learned a course together? Like I buy a udemy course and post the slides and a thread and we all participate and then we do the practice questions and then the test?

And there could even be a DIY project so you don't just ask Google for the answers or just samefag up the place. We could even split off into groups after we gain enough traction, like real life college!

Would that be fun? Many of us are procrastinators who would love to sit down and learn something. Maybe we should come together and work together and it would unironically make learning fun. Like 4chan university. What do you guys think? I could get a trip and while I won't pretend to be a "teacher" I'll at least get the course and post the slides and make the generals. I'm thinking STEM courses of course but nothing too rigorous. We could be like the storytime generals of /a/. Or the Claude generals of /v/.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I think its a great idea, but 4chan may not be the right place for it. Not unless you don't mind being interrupted by BBC and anime girls in the middle of your lecture.

...Anon...theyre hentai futanari, not "anime".
>>
>>16995565
Trolls go away if you don't feed them. After the first few generals they will leave.

What should our first subject be? Here are some that I've considered

-Physics
-Electrical Engineering
-Linguistics
-Data Science
-RF Engineering
-Mechanical engineering

What do you guys think? Just one of those are enough for a year or two
>>
>>16995754
I vote for electrical engineering
>>
>>16995756
Let's give it some time, and at least get two other votes. I will check back in a few
>>
I think it's a good idea. Personally, I don't think I'll be keeping an eye on it; it's actually my first time here, so I probably won't even notice if this goes ahead. Even so, I think it's a good idea, good luck to everyone, maybe I'll come back if I'm still interested in 4chan.
>>
>>16995754
Either electrical engineering or mechanical
>>
>>16995754
Linguistics would be fun.

Surprised nobody said physics, looks like it's gonna be EE
>>
>>16995484
I had this idea but couldn't find anything specific.
I wrote an objection 3 times in 3 ways. On why no one do this before decades after cheap internet and electronics, why education is still expensive even if courseware sharing has been free, and on why image board and threads keeps deteriorating with shallow topics and fast reactions.
In the end I scrapped them all. I want to see the idea through myself.
In a week I will start posting the book I've been procrastinating to start past 2nd chapter here.

I'm between Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, anon!

But Physics would be a great start too

>-Physics
Physics based Number Theory.
>-Electrical Engineering
Dont they use "i"? Yeah, Number Theory.
>-Linguistics
A type of dynamically-Dimensional, Catagory Theoretic, Number Theory.
>-Data Science
Combinatoric Number Theory
>-RF Engineering
Physics based Number Theory.
>-Mechanical engineering
Physics based Number Theory.

The answer is clear; Interpretive Dance, Number Theoretic based visual Geometry tele-projecting Physics signals to illicit communications internally to external observers.

Data science and physics would be useful for general knowledge and applicable skills. The others are too autisticly specialized and serve no purpose. For example Kirchoffs rules in physics are basic, universal rules for any complicated circuit. Electrical engineering repackages these as nodal and mesh analysis which are highly specialized and useful only if you're working with actual circuits. And if you're doing that, reading an electricians book would be more useful to know the wiring conventions.
>>

Double posting.
Linguistics would be the best pick for general knowledge and a useful skill. I'd pick linguistics. IDK why people are picking engineering. I suppose because they have some pre requisite knowledge. Guys, the point of learning is to pick something you don't already know. I say this as a physicist who is not picking physics.
>>
>>16996682
This. Honestly, the people picking engineering are probably undergrads who want to hyperfocus on their niche and have no interest in knowledge.
Also, anything in engineering, physics or math would be highly unsuitable because everyone would be at very different places. At least with linguistics, we can expect most people to be relatively new to the field.
>>
>>16995754
You guys are massively underestimating how hard EE is. Of course that is the autismos first choice. Word of advice, start small. Don't kill your general on day 1(one)
>>
>>16996712
I chose engineering first, but you are correct.

OP here

It looks like people are heavily leaning towards linguistics, I will be baking the general soon. Thank you all for your contributions. I think we are on the edge of something great. The betterment. Of ourselves.

I originally wrote "Creative Writting" but I couldnt think of a witty end of the post.

Linguistics would help in other fields like Physics, where "speed" could be described as "rate of induction", implying radically different attributes.
>>
>>16995484
I would honestly be down for it.
>>
Wait noooooo I don't want to do electrical engineering I want to do proofs :'(
