>>16997908Inducing hypoxia from nitrous oxide inhalation effectively deteriorated my cognition of space and time. My perception of time slowed to a crawl, and my ability to determine directions was severely distorted, which definitely reaffirmed my doubts that the sober configuration of perception is not the most objectively sound, just the one that is developed more towards survival. So, on the threshold of brain death, or at least unconsciousness, is enough to disorient the mind into failing to process neural signals in a coherent manner.
If your perception of time is slower than does that mean your thoughts are occuring faster? People here have suggested stimulants/psychoactives which would seem to be related to that on the one hand, but on the other I don't think meditation with the intent to clear your mind (i.e not think and reduce subvocalization) causes time to move faster even though it should follow it does if thought rate determines time speed.
