Why isn't it possible?
>>
>>16997957
it would have to always be running and even then it would only generate half of a half a percentage of phone power in a day
>>
>>16997957
it is possible. it will not be economical.
>>
Nooo don't do that!
Or else there won't be water for the poor datacenterinos
>>
>>16997957
What if you used extreme gear ratios, and multiple levels of flow?
>>
what is it with retards and trying to extract energy from falling shit?
>>
>>16997957
the possible approach is droplet TENG in drainage pipes, but even that doesn't give you enough to incentivice replacing lead pipes
>>
>>16997957
Go ask your parents how much it'd cost on the water bill for the 5,000 gallons you'd waste charging up your phone like this.

Most of the behaviour on this board is essentially related. Anons are "smart but lazy" so they attempt to validate their self-perceived intelligence by coming up with breakthroughs. However they usually have little actual knowledge so this leads to retarded shit. It can also lead to deeper schizotardation for the more "gifted" individuals. Or worship of ecelebs like Weinstein, Hossenfucker etc. Then there's LLMs, a dangerous plaything for idiots.

It looks like just another high IQ idea. High IQ people come up with bullshit like this all the time, and think that people are just fucking stupid that they don't want to implement their brilliant ideas.

The electricity to pump water to begin with is reflected in the water bill. But it would charge your phone more than half a percentage.

it actually is. you would basically recuperate part of the energy that was used to pump the water into water tower. you own mini-PHES.

you forget it takes energy to lift rock in first place, and grabity is a tight-fisted republican force, so zero sum rock game
>>
It would create a stupidly mimiscule amount of electricity
>>
How long do you keep the faucet running? I don't have dishwasher, and it takes me like 5 minutes to clean daily dishes.
>>
>>16997957
It is, that's how hydro plants work. They build them big because it's more efficient though.
>>
They should make one of these that I can put on my dick
>>
>>16998352
>It is, that's how hydro plants work.
yeah, except the water cycle and aquifers do all the uphill pushing for you
for the faucet, people pump water up a tower or pressurize it some other way, which takes more energy than you recover
>>
>>16998010
I don't think it would EVER pay for itself no matter how long you used it because the returns would be so minimal and you would have to maintain/repair it. It would be a net loss.
>>
>>16997968

>>
>>16998004
bot.
>>
>>16998436
On top of not covering its one cost, it probably wouldn't even recover the amount of electricity needed to manufacture it.
>>
>Everyone itt assuming it's intended for generating constantly and not just for energy recovery
>muh economics regarding a fucking pelton wheel and a tiny dynamo
wew. Granted it would make more sense probably to just have a microhydro installment, probably crossflow or spiral, at the greywater outlet for the whole house rather than putting one for every outlet.
>>
>>16998470
On second thought, the flow rates are probably too slow at the outlet, unless you used a buffer tank, so in the event the intake is neccesary it would instead be inline at the house intake where it would simply reduce "excess" pressure.
>>
>>16998180
Okay but you can also put one in the drain. Actually put like three in series in the drain. That's 20 minutes worth right there. Put one in the shower, a whole hour. Shower drain. Toilet fill and drain. Put a big one on your main water line and sewer.
>>
Wow, is there Free Energy and an ongoing anomaly, sought, mentioned in this thread?

In my rent agreement I only pay for electricity but not water... Should I just set up a water wheel in my bathroom ??? Seems like a genius idea
>>
>>
>>
>>16997957
i wonder if you could build an efficient enough system where you are able to steal the water company's pumping power through a similar system while being able to sell the water somehow back to the utility company?
i doubt its possible to know pressure loss caused only by your utility connection, they distribute the costs over a general pump area, in another way you are stealing from your neighbors.
