I looked at some articles about the average IQ of men and women, and basically it says that they show less variability in IQ.But I also want to know if it's really true that women are more intelligent as children. Is that true? And why does that happen if it's true? It's also part of "common sense" to say that women are more serious and mature faster while men are silly. Apparently, they only maintain an advantage in reading and processing speed.
>>17005356>But I also want to know if it's really true that women are more intelligent as children. Is that true? These studies showing men at opposite extremes and women in an intermediate position are complete nonsense. Why? The participants in these studies are in pre-adolescence and adolescence, but if people read the methodology in the supplementary material, maybe they wouldn't be posting rubbish out there. I'm not saying that's your case. Regarding your question, not necessarily. It's a fact that women reach puberty earlier than men, and puberty is a significant change in the whole body, including the brain. From late adolescence to adulthood, men, on average, are more intelligent than women, widening the gap in overall intelligence.
>>17005356>Apparently, they only maintain an advantage in reading and processing speed.likely a result of them consuming 200 chapters of femgooner smut every day.must admit that this subject doesn't particularly interest me. These articles are all biased anyway, I agree with him>>17005359 I don't know, I think this phenomenon might be related to the fact that women enter puberty earlier. Furthermore, it's necessary to consider the prevailing social fallacy: if women at this stage are in fact more intelligent and reach puberty earlier than men, while men are le stupid, it would follow that the only reason for the early onset of puberty would be their biological predisposition for motherhood, but that's too controversial, isn't it? Imagine saying that entering puberty earlier has that reason

>>17005501He (you) is simply regurgitating the GMVH hypothesis without absolutely anything new. He cites Darwin to seem more intellectual. He only concludes that the average differences are small in these tests, generally below 0.2 standard deviations. ... ok? And? Is that it?
>>17005359Girls showed a considerable average advantage of about 0.4 standard deviations. There are more retarded men than retarded women, remember lol
>>17005517"The present study showed that Lynn’s developmental theory is borne out by the NLSY datasets but not theProject Talent dataset. In the NLSY79, there is a growth of the male advantage in g by about 4-5 points in theWhite sample and 4 points in the all-race sample across ages 14-22 years. In the NLSY97, there is a growth ofthe male advantage in g by about 2 points in the White sample and 2 points in the all-race sample across ages12.4-16.4 years. In the Project Talent, there is no gender difference in cognitive growth based on a large set of34 subtests. The magnitude of theaverage sex differences also varies across samples, models (HOF vs BF) and test composition."https://www.researchgate.net/publication/399203133_Mixed_evidence_for_Lynn's_developmental_theory_of_sex_differences_using_aptitude_tests"Ritchie et al'We also ran analyses adjusting for height, since overall body size may have influenced these differences. This attenuated all of the d-values, but males still showed significantly larger volumes for all subcortical regions except the nucleus accumbens. Post-adjustment d-values were −0.42 for total brain volume, −0.31 for grey matter volume, and −0.47 for white matter volume.' Thus, one may want to use the 0.42 d instead, which leads to a 1.9 IQ gap.""There is no consensus within the field of psychology on whether there are sex differences in intelligence. To test whether there are, 2,092 effect sizes were gathered that measured differences in mental ability between men and women, representing 15,990,325 individuals. Men scored 2.57 IQ points (95% CI [1.91, 3.23], I^2 = 98.2%, k = 47) above women on general ability tests within adults. Two of the three methods used to test the developmental theory of sex differences suggested that the male advantage in ability increases with age."https://www.emilkirkegaard.com/p/newest-results-on-the-sex-difference?utm_source=publication-search
