Any tips of how to make mathematical mental calculations fast in my brain?
2+2 is 5, minus 1 dats 4 quik mafs
>>17009317Just pick a random number and assume it's the answer. This is the fastest possible method, however it does add some error
>>17009317Are you a Chinese factory worker? You can just study math and naturally get faster thanks to deeper understanding and fluency with the language.
>>17009317Surely you have looked at factors? I find factoring is often an easy way to make seemingly annoying mental calculations simple.
It depends on your current level, and what kind of calculations you're trying to do (Multiplication? Division? Percentages?). If you don't know your times tables that's a good place to start. However, if you know your times tables and are trying to get better at calculations like:31 x 24 Mentally, you break the problem into pieces by grouping. 31x24=30×24+1×24=10×3×24+24=10×72+24=720+24=744With practice you can perform these steps very quickly but it takes time to become proficient
>>17009317yeah just memorize the answer to every problem

I know of the trachtenberg system and Sonoran, both for quick mental math but I never learned it, just researched it. Would like to know the way to pass calculus.
>>17010527>Would like to know the way to pass calculus. Is that a question or a statement.
>>17009323>,No.

>>17009317get a nintendo ds and do those brain training games. brain age, big brain academy, something like thatwhen I was doing my masters I felt my mental math atrophy (at least compared to where it was at the end of high school and first couple of years of university) and I started doing those daily and I saw a very noticeable improvement when in my academic work, which was less math intensive, because so much of it was abstracted, but still benefited from it (computer graphics)
>>17009356>31*24just approximate as 30*25but 25*4 = 100 and 30 = 28 + 2so 30*25 = 28*25 + 2*25 = 700 + 5024*31 is approximately 750. but you know it must end in a 4, so just fuck around and make it 744. why 744 and not 754? because 1/31 < 1/24, meaning the 1 you added to 24 is more than the 1 you took from 31; so 750 is larger than the true value since you inflated itso decrease down to 744. am i right? i bet i'm right.

>>17011729No, my mental random number generator is extremely efficient. I just always generate 3.
