>Try to study at home
>Get nothing done
>Go to a library or office
>Achieve giga brain gains
Is this just me being a brainlet or is the concept of doing homework at home generally a trap?

Sounds like cal newport’s study hacks nonsense.
Some people study at home and do well. Some don’t. You just see what you want to see.

We associate certain environments with certain activities.
Just as you are able to hold in your shit all day but the moment you walk into the toilet all hell breaks loose.
Or when you are asked a question in a school classroom you instinctively put up your hand and wait to be addressed rather than just speaking freely. You wouldn't behave like that if someone asked you a question at a bus stop.
We form habits of behaviour based on the environment we're in.
Your home is where you relax, not study. Your bedroom specifically is where you sleep, jerk off, play videogames, and certainly not study.

You do none of these things at the library, but you do study at the library. It is easier to study at the library because of environmental conditioning.

i'm extremely intelligent and get excellent work done at home, while doing minimal stuff in my office.

Sounds like a challenge.

just study in your house in a place+orientation you rarely find yourself at, and make a habit of being in that place in that way ONLY while studying

No, that's why universities have libraries. I did almost all my work for both my undergrad and masters at the university library.

I refer that "giga brain" you mentioned to a kind of state that your focus gets all... WHAM and your vision zooms in and you enter lock in state for studying
Achieving this state however depends on the person, one gets it when there's pure silence, one gets it in specific lights, one gets it when goes to library and etc

You are a showoff. Your functioning requires observation of another will.
