Hello anons, I'm trying to glue a strip of Viton to a piece of aluminum. There will be a constant force trying to pull the viton off of the aluminum, what is the strongest way to glue it?
>>17013552Araldite epoxy is the strongest.I know people who prefer to use PMMA bone cement, but I've never tried it.
>>17013552you will need catalyzed flexible urethane, such as automotive windshield adhesive or german automotive engine oil pan adhesive, the most poisonous you can find, and should probably machine a recess for the strip., but I would engineer a way to clamp the viton all around or both glue and clamp. rubber to aluminum bond is always going to be sketchy. or try the shit they use on Tesla unibody assembly, that's in the class I'm describing.
