If you mean autonomous driving the problem is legal issues and human environments not autonomous driving tech. The tech itself is already likely better than vast majority of drivers but there are legal issues with things like liability which can't really be solved by tech except by being so much better that the manufacturer can absorb the potential damages and still make profit.
