btw, moore's law is not about "computers improving". it's the doubling time of number of transistors in a cpu (due to miniaturization). it's alive and well. see e.g.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1_nm_processwhen i was in graduate school i was learning about 10 nm processes being state of the art which wasn't even a decade ago and now it's halved in size over 3 times. moore's law has slowed down a little bit from 2 years to approximately 3 years, but it's still going strong.

We keep coming up with new methods to squeeze a little more out of it. Last I remember digging into it, maybe seven or eight years ago, they were looking into all sorts of crazy ideas like using intrinsic spin of electrons or even photons to encode and calculate data, I remember hearing you could start getting down to angstrom scales.
