Why do voices in the heads of schizos always tell them bad things? Why can't they talk about how nice the weather is or something?
everyone has a voice in their head but when it starts telling you to do bad things then it becomes an illness
>>17027071Is schizophrenia usually accompanied by psychosis? If yes then it's because schizos are psychotic
>>17027075Psychosis just means that you can't discerns what's reality.
>>17027071They hear both
>>17027071It's the defining feature. Anyone can discuss things with themselves in their head (well anyone with like 80+ IQ anyways). Only schizos get exclusively bad ideas from there. It's like asking why do car crashes involve bad drivers or why bad pastries come from bad bakers. You simply got the cause and effect reversed.
>>17027072>>17027114This is stupid and clearly wrong.
>>17027071seems to be a cultural thing, in cultures that see it as a good sign (the voice is the gods or what ever), schizos voices take the role of said gods, or the dead.It may be that the oracles and necromancers of Greece were just schizos that hear what the cultures expected of them.
>>17027178>God wants me to die for Israel o algo
>>17027179If all you can think about is Jewish dick?No one is even talking about Jews, nothing that was said had anything to do with Jews.and here you come in and reee like a retarded negro about the Jews.4chan gone to shit thanks you faggots. this place is as bad as reddit.
>>17027182But it's mostly white and euro chuds who speak about Jews though.
>>17027071The voices in my head are absolutely positive, but due to the way the legal system could ruin my life if I got diagnosed, I will forever remain outside their statistics. I imagine that we are in the majority. Any high iq schizo would try to remain outside the system.
Because the voices are demons
It's long been said that the content of hallucinations is culturally influenced. People who don't know the voices are supposed to be mean from TV experience nicer ones. Anecdotal, but I took so much THC extract I probably crept up on schizophrenia. I didnt hear anything. I just abstractly sensed some other intelligent presence within my head, but I wouldn't describe it as malicious.
>>17027071Because negative states have greater statistical likelihood of occurring by an outlandish margin. This has to do with our value judgements being based on a fragile and complicated state of affairs for something to be considered "good."For example, think of one way you could drastically improve your health in the next ten seconds using only the objects around you. Now, how many ways could you drastically reduce your quality of life in the same timeframe with the same tools?

>>17027071>Why do voices in the heads of schizos always tell them bad things? They don't always. There are cases of patients with schizophrenia who have neutral or even positive relationships with the voices in their heads.Schizophrenia causes a breakdown in corollary discharge that strips your brain of a lot of its capability to identify stimuli as self-generated. When you visualize something in your mind, or invoke your internal monologue, or taste the inside of your mouth, or touch yourself (pervert!) you're still activating the visual, auditory, taste, and touch centers of your brain; but your brain also sends secondary signals to these centers to effectively dampen or cancel out the usual stimuli response. You know the apple you're seeing in your mind, or the conversation you're having with yourself, or whatever is something you made, not something you're seeing, hearing, etc.Schizophrenia basically strips your brain of this ability to flag signals as self-generated, which causes hallucinations. The things you imagine or the conversations you have with yourself are processed by the brain as external stimuli, leading to psychosis. While it is possible for this to be neutral or positive, seeing or hearing things that aren't there is generally distressing to people, and about 80-90% of cases, schizophrenia also presents with paranoia, depression, irritability, etc. and their own internal thoughts will tend to reinforce these feelings.
>>17027071They said they want to shatter my diamonds while moving through. They didn't have any interest in being with us. That stuck on you as a constant would cause hallucinations of self repute.

>>17027071I mean, everyone have voices in their heads, it's only when they start misbehaving it becomes a diagnosis
>>17027128you have a little llm in your head narrating your thought process and it's only when your amygdala reminds it what to focus on that you are afflicted with the misguided idea that you are you
>>17027071Confirmation bias. They absolutely tell them to do good things. You just don't hear about it as often because why would you? And when you do, why would you care?
