The other end does not rotate instantaneously because the influence from my end of the rod must travel at most at the speed of sound in the metal to the other end before that end can also turn 180 degrees. You say that this cannot be used to send information faster than light, well, who cares. That still influences the other particle faster than light speed and that makes no sense under the assumption that nothing can travel faster than light. You say that the particles together count as one spooky quantum system, well, the diamond rod also counts as one singular object and yet one change to one part of the object cannot instantaneously influence the other end. The bear would have to wake up himself. Then he would have to go in the lab to measure his particle, in which case he would see the opposite of what you saw, but it's a random 50% 50% coin toss for both of you, so no information is sent. There is no way to make an alarm clock and wake up the bear with a Bell pair.
