I'm almost 25, and the highest degree I have is an associate's in mathematics, which I earned several years ago. Life circumstances weren't very kind to me, so I wasn't able to continue my education until this year.Looking back, I feel like I let a lot of opportunities slip away. I graduated high school early, earned straight As in math, and one of my professors even gave me one of her books before she retired because she believed I'd go on to do good things. Even when I wasn't enrolled in college, I kept studying mathematics on my own simply because I loved it.Now I can't shake the feeling that I'm behind everyone else. With AI becoming increasingly prominent in mathematics, I sometimes wonder whether there's still a place for me or whether I've already missed my chance.When is it too late to pursue mathematics? What would you tell someone in my position?
