Assuming the chain, and superman, are strong enough there's still a couple of problems:
-I'm pretty sure the planet itself wouldn't be able to handle the ?tension? of having it's own weight be pulled on by a chain from such a small point. It'd most likely just break a hunk off - like trying to tow away a piece of spongecake. Superman would have to wrap a bunch of chains around each planet and toe them like a billiard net to evenly distribute the force.

Those planets would definitely freeze in the journey between galaxies. Even from star to star within the galaxy it would take several years to make the trip. These people would need deep underground heated bunkers sheltering many species to have any chance of preserving their ecosystem. As for the chain… lmao
