If I gave you 500 years and the ability to selectively breed every homo-sapien that has been born, would you be able to create a human being with these physical capabilities? And then in that same breath, would this human being be the apex predator on earth?
Also, if the answer is no. Can there be a human being that has both the strength of Brian Shaw and the speed of Usain Bolt in one body if given enough centuries?
>>17033328Eugenics works but it's not magic. Consider that people have been selectively breeding dogs to be as strong and fast as possible for thousands of years but we haven't done much better than a german shepherd. The larger breeds end up with fucked up health problems that make them functionally worse for a military application like OP despite being larger. Human eugenics would be similar. If you had access to the entire planet population you would get more value from just finding the existing genetic freak outliers that already exist and giving them access to top level physical training and nutrition. If you did that and also did a few years of eugenics you would end up with some scary giga-chads but they wouldn't randomly develop the ability to instantly digest food for no reason. Also it's kind of a stupid waste of time because a scrawny pencil necked dork with a pistol is more dangerous than the most absurdly strong gigachad you can imagine fighting in melee.
