give it straight to me, /sci/, how fucked are we?
>>
this is a nothing burger, ai will save us, plus we have batteries that can last 30 yrs now so cooling is not an issue
>>
>>17033999
Africa is a net profiter of climate change. The sahel and southern Sahara gets more and more rain leading to greening and more farmland.
>>
>>17033999
Fucking fucked, big time mate.
But first you should know climate change is something of a smoke screen used to obfuscate more immediate and tangible environmental ills such as over fishing, soil degradation, biodiversity loss, microplastics, etc etc.
Take all this shit together with things like political polarization, wealth disparity, demographic collapse, declining education standards, pathogen resistance, designer viruses, drone warfare, blah blah blah, and you have the making of a perfect storm.
Things will get more shitty at the slow pace we have grown accustomed to but then it will begin to speed up.
You will have to make do with less. Of everything. The general quality of life will decline. Thing will become harsh. You will have most people living in extended family household. No car. Rent everything. Eat meat far less often. Increasing lower health care, less worker protections, legals rights will become increasingly corrupted and diminished.
Here are a few daily life indicators. You will see less pets ( cats and dogs ). More people on bicycles. There will be less hip replacements.
And that is before the fun starts.
The 3rd world will have things even harder. What immigration we have today is a trickle that will turn into a flood of biblical proportions. Which is unsustainable and result in the political radicalization of western nations. You can sort of see it happening already to an extent. Which is good I suppose if you hate liberals and feminists. But the joy of seeing those useful idiots squashed will be short lived as the world becomes engulfed in a series of increasingly destructive wars, plagues, extreme weather events, and environmental catastrophes which spell the end of the global structure we know today.
Then history pretty much stops for a few thousand years.
But I wouldn't worry too much senpai, the worse of it all still lies off beyond your lifetime. Probably.

>ai will save us
>>
>>17034023
Every single financial agreement, loans, business dealing or insurance terms are fundamentally fucked because they'll all have high externalities baked into their costs. Which will fuck profit generation in local companies+ the government and turn all cost neutral or slightly in the red projects into more cost intensive ones.
>>
>>17034027
>What immigration we have today is a trickle that will turn into a flood of biblical proportions. Which is unsustainable and result in the political radicalization of western nations.
This always gets exaggerated. For exanple the vast majority of African migration is still between African states. The idea that they'd all suddenly change to going north is bot supported by data, and the only way a "higher movement" would occur is when they grow in development and tourism+legally moving for work becomes a thing due to higher capital and middle class growths.
>>
>>17034055
And the only reason why people hyper fixate on the "mass movement up north due to weather" media line is because the idea of immigrants being more richer overall or development in developing world is framed as some sort of existential crisis since people think buying "Made in Gambia" Drago Dildos is a threat to western civilisation.
>>
>>17034055
>For exanple the vast majority of African migration is still between African states
African migration to Europe and the pressure to migrate to Europe is increasing and European native populations that are supposed to bear the immigration are also on the decline. It doesn't take more than couple large migration waves to ruin entire nations. It's basically impossible to humanely remove the immigrants once they are in which means you have to be prepared to stop it before it happens because it's too late once it does. The Syrian migration crisis demonstrated that well, there was no way to stop them when they were already walking in and they are now a permanent drain on the welfare systems of western Europe.

>>17034056
>idea of immigrants being more richer overall
Immigrants lower the quality of life of the nations they emigrate to. It's good for the immigrants but lines like this are aimed for you know Europeans who will suffer the bad end of the bargain there. No one cares what Gambians do in Gambia, if they create wakanda there then good for them. The threat is that they move over here which is both real and happening in real time.
>>
>>17034061
>African migration to Europe and the pressure to migrate to Europe is increasing
Extremely dwarfed by non European destinations. You are literally trying to ignore known data.

>It doesn't take more than couple large migration waves to ruin entire nations
The countries polticians and capital class already did that. Trying g to blame immigrants for policies enacted decades ago makes no sense.

>The Syrian migration crisis demonstrated that well, there was no way to stop them when they were already walking in and they are now a permanent drain on the welfare systems of western Europe.
Because every refugee holding stage got no support or aid and this became strained. They never got the full support from donors to gelp mitigate the refufee crisis because European politicians and bureaucrats literally did not think peoppe would move further out to avoid extremely flooded refugee camps.

>Immigrants lower the quality of life of the nations they emigrate to.
>It's good for the immigrants but lines like this are aimed for you know Europeans who will suffer the bad end of the bargain there
Blaming them for the countiries bad decisions made over the span of decades is retarded.

>No one cares what Gambians do in Gambia, if they create wakanda there then good for them.
Lmao so many governments in the west and their NGOs are OBSSESSED about monitoring and trying other control Africans. Currently their are trying gto shill invasive DNA scanning and bio IDs so they can track people moving between borders.
>>
>>17034065
And a ton of the aid projects and support are obsessed about controlling population movement. Several in Frontex made plans all operate of the most deranged assumptions you can ever make
>>
>>17034065
>Extremely dwarfed by non European destinations
Again this is irrelevant. It doesn't matter how many buffalo lions kill, if they start killing humans that's when it becomes a problem. One is too many africans in Europe, increasing the number is increasing the problem.

>The countries polticians and capital class already did that.
Policy that allows immigration is indeed bad hence why it needs to be addressed before they arrive that much is true. The immigrants are doing the right thing for themselves to raise them up by kicking us down but that is still kicking us down and hopefully it can be stopped by stopping our politicians which can be done by pointing out that climate change will make it so that hordes of them will come over here and it needs to be stopped now.

>Because every refugee holding stage got no support or aid and this became strained. They never got the full support from donors to gelp mitigate the refufee crisis because European politicians and bureaucrats literally did not think peoppe would move further out to avoid extremely flooded refugee camps.
They are getting frankly massive state support from welfare. Way out of proportion with anything native citizens receive and pay equally little to the pot. This lowers the standard of living of everyone in Europe. Immigrants should not even be eligible for welfare in the first place.

>Blaming them for the countiries bad decisions made over the span of decades is retarded.
They directly lower the standard of living in Europe.
>>
Timmies predicting climate change will roast africa while their own people are dying of heat stroke during the hottest summer to date, rivers in europe are drying up and much needed precipitation has been delayed. Why do you retards do this? You predicted the same with covid, yet displayed significantly more retarded response measures and suffered relatively worse casualties.
>>
>>17034067
>It doesn't matter how many buffalo lions kill, if they start killing humans that's when it becomes a problem.
Shitty analogy.
>One is too many africans in Europe, increasing the number is increasing the problem.
Not numerous and dwarfed by nearly every other immigrant community. There's more Indians in many lol.

>The immigrants are doing the right thing for themselves to raise them up by kicking us down but that is still kicking us down and hopefully it can be stopped by stopping our politicians which can be done by pointing out that climate change will make it so that hordes of them will come over here and it needs to be stopped now.
They aren't kicking you down lmao. More so considering several states had riots that targetted immigrant businesses or people in places like the UK.

>They are getting frankly massive state support from welfare. Way out of proportion with anything native citizens receive and pay equally little to the pot. This lowers the standard of living of everyone in Europe. Immigrants should not even be eligible for welfare in the first place.
That's not how the system works anon, are you 15 or something?

>>17034068
And now several EU states are buying A/C units in droves from China and Algeria. Fucking Algeria lmao. There's also the rush for "green mineral" which is failing currently.
>>
>>17034077
>Not numerous and dwarfed by nearly every other immigrant community. There's more Indians in many lol.
Those are also bad. "Sure there's shit in your plate but I also pissed and barfed it a ton so you can't complain!!!!". Absolutely insane position to take.

>They aren't kicking you down lmao.
They directly lower European standard of living.

>More so considering several states had riots that targetted immigrant businesses or people in places like the UK.
They directly lower the standard of living in places like the UK, riots help get rid of them.

>That's not how the system works anon, are you 15 or something?
That's how welfare works in Europe. You don't have to pay into the system to receive the benefits. That's the point.
>>
>>17034078
>Those are also bad.
And yet no one cares lol. All these anti-immigranr chuds are Dudley-Do-Nothings.
Hate one group yet basically do token hate of another in a show of token "even opportunity hate". Fraudulent

>They directly lower European standard of living.
They didn't make European states refuse to develop a strong competitor to rival Tech firms, or cut education and Healthcare, or neglect energy development, or fail to corner the solar panel market, or destroy land for coal, or fail to actually keep plants running during peak load.

>You don't have to pay into the system to receive the benefits. That's the point.
And that's not a problem. Welfare as a concept is supposed to be used and EVERYONE dips into the system lol. It's not a "Europe" thing either since the concept of welfare doesn't have the vague requirement of "paying into the system" as a mandatory requirement.
>>
>>17034077
>One is too many africans in Europe, increasing the number is increasing the problem.
>Not numerous and dwarfed by nearly every other immigrant community. There's more Indians in many lol.
What shit argument is that
>look its ok we have indians too
No we dont want both
Also look at france its 10% african at this point
>>
>>17034055
You're correct a lot of migration is between bordering nations, but it's undeniable there has been a ton of migration to Europe in the 21st century for a wide variety of reasons. If even 50 years ago someone would say that many places in Europe would have less than 90% native population, it would come out as an exaggeration.
>>
>>17034236
>it's undeniable there has been a ton of migration to Europe in the 21st century for a wide variety of reasons.
And in every part of the world. Turns out modern transportation methods aided in that.

>If even 50 years ago someone would say that many places in Europe would have less than 90% native population, it would come out as an exaggeration.
Those stats are all dependant on how you carve out the areas measured and what you define as "native" since many tend to discount mixed racial or mixed natice/immigrant ancestry from the native pop numbers.
>>
>>17034088
>What shit argument is that
Because guys like you are trying to say there's a hundred million of them despite the data saying otherwise. Either the super accurate numbers are faulty or you are counting one black guy as 8 people.

>Also look at france its 10% african at this point
You have nothing to back that lol.

>>
>>17034956
how would you update a yearly measurement once a month
>>
>>17034570
It's gonna be pretty bad. Like imagine trying to buy a house one day and winning the bidding process. Then one day later yoyr area got evaluated by insurance agencies and found your area at high risk for flooding compared to it historically not being the case. So your formerly very affordable insurance premiums shot up and you have to burn tons of money renovating your home for flood protection and mitigation.

Now imagine being a farmer in New drought territory and you can see where we are going

Sorry to hijack this thread OP but its obvious you aren't getting any more intelligent posts. So I would just like to share an observation.
I am convinced only the same handful of people use /sci/. Perhaps a few dozen at most. The overwhelming majority of these are fuckwits who just post shit.
I have been keeping tabs on some /sci/ threads for a while now and I notice a new thread gets a flurry of posts and then suddenly dies, regardless of the topic. Its like every one of the fuckwits has seen the thread, made their worthless uneducated retard comments and that's as far as their interest goes. The thread topic is irrelevant to them. They just like posting shit. So they move onto the next new thread to further spread their shit and the same thing repeats itself.
After a while you begin to notice some very distinctive posting patterns
The schizo who always tries to turn the thread into a discussion about his batshit insane theory.
The contrarian who has to contradict every valid comment
The sealion who derails a thread with his constant bad faith arguments and demands for proof.
The diarrhea poster who has to make multiple posts deriding everything point by point another poster has said
The denier who wishes to express his extreme ignorance of the topic without a shred of shame
The ESL who constantly misunderstands what another has said and takes issue with it.
And then you get the samefagger who argues with himself on some trivial side issue.
I really dont know why I bother visiting here any more. Its just as bad as /pol/ now. Anyway consider this post to be a bump, for whatever good it will do.

I’m no demographics statistician but that really doesn’t seem that bad. How many people each year already move to another place within their own country for literally any reason? I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s already a couple percent. People will lose money as their homes become less valuable and be forced to work in more miserable conditions but that’s been going on for a long time. This infographic has the exact opposite of the intended effect on me, it makes me think the future climate migration “crisis” will be no big deal at all.
>>
>>17033999
The real question is: why has Global Warming, a clear and unambiguous term, been replaced by Climate Change, a far less precise term, one open to perhaps too much interpretation & redefinition?
