Is it me or do those newfangled LED street lights make it harder to see in the dark when compared to monochromatic sodium lamps?I can barely see anything in the shadows now, they seem almost black.

>>17034205No. Blue light is easier to see in the dark. Often they are just too bright, and the source is just too tiny which causes almost painful glare. They are usually also more directional, which results in more shadow. You may also be a lottle bit nearsighted, about one diopter is basically invisible in daylight, but it can greatly reduce your vision in the dark, easily by a factor of 16.
