I have some ipl(laser hair removal) glasses. I'm gonna put a mirror on the floor and look into it for a couple seconds with the glasses with black underwear over them

Will this kill my eyes?

Seems to be dangerous because it doesen't block much of the visible light.

Retardery of the thread's premise aside, aming the safest media given an EMP-related event is CD's and DVD's. The data is encoded optically so any voltage spike which doesn't literally burn the thing will not damage any data.

Floppies, magnetic tape, hard drives are all technically at risk because they're magnetically encoded but small devices are EMP resistant by nature of having less conductive material.
Tl;dr: you were lied to about how destructive a Carrington-like event would be. Just unplug your shit.
