The alphabet is based around writing "phonemes", which makes it very easy to learn. But, phonemes are actually irrelevant mouth noises that get filtered out during normal sensory processing, so, for people with healthy brains, the alphabet isn't any easier to learn than any other writing system.

As the result, the written discourse was overwhelmingly dominated by brain damaged people, who lacked nornal sensory processing. Even now, when literacy has become virtually universal, all the discourse is still dominated by the nonsense and often profound insanity that they produced, while normal people get dismissed as defective, and too stupid to learn, or understand anything.

Maybe you're just retarded and anything requiring any level of abstract thinking sounds like "nonsense" to you because you don't understand.

“Oh, you stupid summer child.”
— Helen Keller

I 100% believe Helen Keller never actually learned to communicate in any significant way and that Anne Sullivan was essentially a fraudster. Her story is extremely hard to believe and the most salient evidence for me is there is not a single recorded interview with Helen or footage of her communicating with anyone but Anne

>nooo writing and speech can't be unified into a single language!!!
strangely elitist premise.

If you assume that people who are motivated by an illusion of human (or tribal, or familial) progress via a “timeline” are less sane than people who are motivated by an illusion of personal progress through a “circle of life,” then of course writing is insane; it begs the question.

I mean, I can write something for my future self. A time capsule in a bottle with a time ship inside carrying a message from previous me to future me. In writing. With a cork.
Checkmate.

Those were Polaroids of tattoos.
These are inscriptions of sounds.
They are not the same.

Think about solipsism? It’s the one thing you don’t need to think about.

You will eventually be everyone else.
That’s the point.
It makes it easier if you write down a thing or two in between.

>A circle of life with no points in the past to draw lines from is the same thing as a circle of life with one or more points to draw one or more lines from.
If so, why would literacy or illiteracy matter either way?

Okay I tilted my phone and read the title; you could actually make “vies passés” work if you pegged it to gender dysphoria suicides; you’d just have to have a 50+ point higher IQ and probably rewrite the rest of it.
