Every collider search for the graviton is implicitly a search for evidence that RS1 or RS2 is a literal description of spacetime, not theoretical. If we take this seriously, there is a genuinely dangerous consequence I have never seen addressed.The AdS5 bulk in both models is non-supersymmetric. Non-SUSY AdS vacua are metastable against decay to lower energy AdS vacuum. Nothing in the RS construction protects the bulk constant from this... So... the RS bulk itself is a false vacuum by default, independent of a stabilizing scalar. This gives us two serious issues.>RS2: a blackhole with mass relative to the bulk planck scale rather than the brane is no longer confined to the brane and enters the bulk, seeds nucleation of a low energy bulk-bubble that expands and physically collides with the brane generating a big bang: this is the Gen-Ishibashi-Tanaka model run backwards.>RS1: the exact same blackhole bulk-bubble generation here instead causes the radion to destabilise, collapsing the geometry of the entire bulkIf the graviton is discovered RS becomes literal and we inherit a false vacuum in the higher dimensional space, these then become immediate dangers that the graviton hunting community has ignored because they have never calculated them before. I have done it backwards. RS2 requires 100-1000 TeV for bulk-bubble generation. RS1 only requires 1-10 TeV for radion collapse.

She was the student of Howard Georgi who is well known as a big promoter of “yay women in physics” all the way back to the 80s and 90s, incidentally when he was presumably on her hiring committeelook back on Lubos’ blog. He was nice to Lisa but there are some little jabs here and there about him basically saying she was an affirmative action hire / pretty spokesperson (compare with e.g. Maria Spiropulu)
