What kind of social training do you have if you're in the STEM field?For instance, in asian cultures children are forced to study from 6am until 10pm. To perform excellent at school and be the S class student. However, they're not given incentives to invest in social organization and administration. Does this style leave a gap in who can be a leader in a STEM organization?In my job I feel like 99% of the hard problems are social. If I need to submit paper work, edit paper work, review it, administer it; I need finesse. I cannot just solve the problem like it is scientific. Has anyone else had a gap in training? I feel like I could get a lot more work done if I knew how to smooth talk and persuade. Yet, I'm stuck making retarded small talk day in and day out to other people who are retards at small talk. Our administrators are just PhD's with better training on the problem and not at getting other people to solve the problems. It is a slug fest when a problem takes more than a handful of people to be solved.

There's nothing more desirable than a leader that can walk between worlds and can verbalize ideas and visions grounded with real applicable knowledge or skills.

We rely on Chinese men to have the ability to interact with humans as if they were human. But it is clearly a racist sexist social construct to assume that.joking.anyhow I support letting Chinese men go their own way and NOT attend western undergraduate schools. why is that even a thing when clearly their culture is so different?
