teach yourself however you find it most comfortable and effective, and don't let anyone tell you the "right" or "wrong" way to learn. you'll have to experiment and research a little to even find what you're interested in specifically. "math and engineering" is a very, very, very broad term, and you shouldn't set unrealistic expectations for yourself, because you'll just end up disappointed and/or overwhelmed. instead focus on something more specific after looking at all there is, and what you've found interesting in the past

In my country it was extremely fashionable to diagnose "ADHD" in a lot of kids 20 years ago to the point there were lots of false positives and the general public had the impression that it was just some general stupidity. Of course, a lot of ADHDers do have fairly low IQs but it's not impossible to have a moderately high one, and if you were one of those it was absolute hell growing up because you'd just rawdog it through school, adults would praise you that you're oh so smart and capable just because you're able to breeze through easy shit until you get to the stage later where you do actually have to study a lot and can't bear it

1. You need to enroll in some kind of course. Maybe high school math to refresh. With assignments and exam.
2. You should never try to study at home, but instead at an office, library or cowork desk
3. Try and structure it with an excel sheet where you write down which days you go to study and which days you attend classes
4. Don’t abuse the AI or you lose all your brain gains. Think of it like a help when lifting weights. If it helps you finish your final set it makes sense. If it’s doing all the lifting for you then you’ll remain weak.

If you try to solo this you’ll end up in procrastination hell. Good luck if you’re serious.
