What makes high IQ people unable to learn morphology?
>>17043018High IQ people understand what opportunity cost is. This is like asking what makes people that can feel pain unable to saw off their own legs.
>>17043018a lot of this is just a writing convention where you simply choose not to use spaces.

Words? In my head, I don't need words.
>>17043023It seems that the cognitive effort per word stays the same regardless of how complex the words are. That would make mirphologically complex languages massively more efficient.
>>17043018You think that's fucked up, check out phonetics insteadZalgo exists because we need the diacritics to describe the sound your tongue makes clicking off the roof of your mouth while you talk around a bite of food
>>17043478>It seems that the cognitive effort per word stays the same regardless of how complex the words areaccording to who?
>>17043481It actually seems to be the norm that common speech is mkre synthetic that educated speech. For example "we didn't have a car accident" in formal Czech "Neměli jsme dopravní nehodu."in common Czech "Nenabourali jsme" pronounced as one word (Polish actually spells it that way)
>>17043027Native speakers can't break words down further without being taught how, so it's pretty unambiguous, as long as you can find uneducated speakers.
>>17043481Isn't this a failure of abstraction? There is a series of resonating chambers with some flow rate. Adding some material into the chamber doesn't violate the model. It seems like the approach would have to invent new characters for differences in physiology.
